drivers exterior door handle

took the car for a service and its come back with a door handle that appears loose or broken on the left of the door handle, i have to hold the top of the handle in and lift the underside, the service centre was open about it and have said pop back with the issue but i wondered what it might be ? 2009 launch edition colour coded handles

The handles are known to break.  Here's a link to a thread on MLOC showing a picture of where they tend to break.

You might be able to get away with a bit of Araldite if you are lucky, otherwise it's a new door handle.

I'm always careful when opening the doors on my LE, especially if one of them doesn't open due to the well known sticking door locking pin issue. I posted a video on YouTube of it some years back when I had that problem. The pin might look as if it's fully up but it might not actually be all the way up.
