Which A/C Gas has my Evora 400 got?

Hi all - I have a 2016 Evora 400 in the UK, and need to get the A/C refilled. I've used a mobile service in the past, so thought I would again or a local place, but I am struggling to find out if my car uses R134A or R1234YF.

The service notes say to look at the Technical Service Bulletin 2016/21 Issue 2 for details for each market, but I can't find that TSB.

Does anyone know what my car would be running on? Normally there would be a sticker/plate somewhere on the car, but not sure where that is either

Cheers!

Your car could be around the switchover (build date June 2016 on).  No labels were attached at the factory.  The service ports are different dimensions, so you can't, in theory, get it wrong.  Only way to know for sure is to look at service ports at rear of front right wheel behind arch liner.

Thanks Dave - good to know that they are different dimensions. I guess if the refill place can do both then they will know which fits. I saw on another forum that the port caps might be different colours to indicate the gas type, but not sure whether that is true or not

It doesn’t help your question but may be of interest to know for once you establish the gas type.

I bought one of the canisters and trigger kits from Halfords and checked then recharged the AC in my daily runaround (Suzuki Swift).  I was tentative at first but it was straightforward and the AC is now blowing cold as it should be.

As was suggested above, there was an unmissable sticker in the engine bay for gas type. Shame Lotus didn’t do that.
