Breakfast Club Meeting for the 6th October

So whats on for 6th October I hear you all ask!  👂🏻He says defend by the silence!

There have been some requests for a bit of a drive as well after the meet so this one is including that and hopefully not so far that the Edinburgh contingent get a nose bleed or whatever.

Meeting at Blair Drummond Smiddy Farm shop.  10:00 https://www.blairdrummondsmiddy.co.uk/pages/the-smiddy WTW: ///fork.acrobatic.rentals or the old fashioned way is come off the M9 at J10 and head west past Blair Drummond Safari park about a mile further on it is on the left.  There is a sit down cafe and if something less required a good external burger/coffee van and some external seating.  Good, if not expensive local farm produce shop as well.  Last time I was there there were about 20 Porkers in the car park so fine for our cars.

The drive afterwards is just under 40 miles of great A&B roads if you don’t know the area.  It takes in the famous Dukes Pass road up the hill from Aberfoyle.  The end of the drive is pretty much back to start point.  If anybody fancies a trip on a steamer on Loch Katrine, then it is still open then, and if a nice day a lovely way to spend a couple of hours.  We will pass about 2 miles from it. There is also a nice tarred loch side walk there as well.

Might now only be able to come for the breakfast and not the run afterwards as I've been asked to work Sunday evening and will need to fit in a powernap beforehand. Bit of a bummer as I was looking forward to a blast over the Duke's Pass.

Well we did get 5 cars out for this although I forgot to photograph us lined up.  1 x V8 Esprit, 1 x S1 Elise, 1 x Final edition 240 Elise, 1 Evora S and 1 x Emira v6 so good mix and we went for the above shown blast.  

Anybody got any suggestions for our 3rd November breakfast outing?

If you go to the Rhynd Cafe just north of Leuchars, between St Andrews and Dundee then I only need to drive 1 mile....😁

Always good to get a new suggestion and it may stir the Edinburgers out of their comfort zone and over the Bridge.  We also have quite a few Fifers in the group who will be happy to have something closer to home.  I'll look into it.

I got quite a few of the Edinburgers out, including meeting at 0930 in Dundee. You usually just need a well planned route.

I see that this place does a Bacon & Brakes on the first Sunday of every month which looks excellent and will be an ideal suggestion but unfortunately only from March to September.  I'll pencil it is for next year sometime but in the meantime anybody got any other suggestions?
