refering to workshop manual: from inside you look directly to the betaseal bead. The outside is covered with a surround trim, it is clipped in a trim carrier strip (strip is glued to the body panel)

So what do you mean !?

Just got my new camera in mail today, will post pics asap. What I meant was the outside of the glass between the glass and the A-pillar and the glass and the windscreen. There isn't a trim piece along the bottom is there? Sorry, bought my car with no windscreen and am working blind here. Any outside looking in pics of all four sides would be greatly appreciated. BTW it's an '01 model.

Yes, exactly.

You need all 4 of the part $'s that I posted above (1 carrier and 1 finisher for each side of the glass, and 1 carrier and 1 finisher for the top, 6 pieces all together)

My car came without the carriers or the finishers, the glass is just glued down with big blobs hanging out in the crevice between the body and the glass. Somebody must have replaced the glass in the past and did not order the finishing pieces.

They are rubber t shaped strips for the finishers, that snap into rubber channels of the carriers, which are bonded under the side edges of the glass. The finishers bridge the gap between the body and the glass (on the outside) and make it look nice by covering the glue and big gaping gap.

The part I posted work for all Esprits from 1988-2004.

There is a "sqaure U" edging strip available to fit between bottom of screen and bodywork. I had a screen replaced recently under insurance cover - The well known company made a real mess of it and they were supposed to be the experts. I had to get all the bodywork between bottom of screen to under "bonnet" repainted as they put excessive adhesive in this area and during removal they manked the paintwork.

There was a plus side, I had the garage invoice them direct for the paint job and also received
