What's this part on the front wheels?

what's is this part on the front wheels on the hub?:

what it is necessary????

It's only on the front wheels but I have seen other cars and they not have it on the front wheels???

I'm courious to see what's do.....

I can take off it if is not necessary???

This is the cap for the front wheelbearing. You don't want to take this off because dust will the get into the bearing and after a while it will break. If the purpose of removing the cover is to get that alloy rim fitted you should use a spacer between the hub and the rim instead.

Put the spanner down and back away form the car!

It's the grease cap for the front hub. No grease cap, no grease or very mucky grease = bad!

I haven't problems to fit these wheels on my car...it's a GT3, I have a set of AWI now fitted but wanted also if I not will sell them to fit for a test....

but I wanted only take off this part because I don't like have the OZ or Lotus cap on these OZ saturn wheels, I prefer to see the bolts as in the AWI or my original GT3 wheels....

I have split rims no centre cap. All I did was spray those up to match!!!!

Probably going to get slated now!!!!!
