Hi there

Bibs is putting together a worldwide list of addresses together for dealers and independents. You should find someone close to home in here I should think.

Oh and welcome to the forum and well done for having great taste in Esprit :)

IMO if you're going for an S4 get one after 1993 (ie 94) which has the brembo braking system.

Personally if you like the 4 pots I wouldn't limit yourself to just the S4, check out the S4s and the GT3 too.

Very rares cars, strike whilst the iron is hot !

Steve Williams Lotus is in Maidenhead.

Mark's car is worth the drive up to chilly Scotland imo.

I am finally looking at purchasing an S4 Esprit

If you see any you like, just put a link up, or the general area where the car is for sale and no doubt there'll be one of us nearby that can cast a wise eye over her before you spend your hard earned cash.

If i remember correctly it was your S4 Simon that swayed me into buying a red Esprit albeit an SE (2 years ago)...Never will forget that absolutely beautiful deep red finish on you car Simon.CA27U3A1.jpg

A beauty and certainly the prettiest thing in Sunbury!!!

Worth taking all the way to Oz for sure.

Thanks for that day Si.

Neil - would be more than happy to assist with your purchase.

Yep I remember the day you came around Roger - pretty dang cold it was.

Car's still going strong and I drive it every week - no issues.

Still really Red too :-)

Neil, have a look at the garage area of the forum. Lots of good reading there. I've also written a fair burst on the pros and cons of purchasing and ownership in my little garage area.

Looking forward to lots of questions.

soo many Red ones. Green , Black or Blue with a light interior look the best in my opinion. happy hunting

Peter's right - I had a lot of fun tracking down my car and while it wasn't my perfect colour combination (black with red leather SE I saw in Belgium was gorgeous) it was certainly the best all round condition. Have you considered SE's? Some might say the wing is a bit more elegant than the more brazen S4 look.

Oh and while we're on the subject of parading S4's....

ps - Simon - your car looks stunning.

I've always thought your car looked stunning in that colour. Quite a rare one!

Hi Neil, welcome to the obsession. As Jon said dont just limit yourself to an S4 consider a GT3 or S4s too, but I suppose it depends on your budget. What sort of price do you have in mind? By the way they do come in other colours besides red, ORANGE is nice B)

Am sure you have picked this up in the various buyers guides mate,

but seriously leave at least a grand spare after buying. This is not a

scare story, just makes sense as that enough for a good service, not

quite enough for a full C service or cracked manifold (two very common

items on cars for sale), and a grand is about right for a trouble free first

years running, if you manage to find a car needing no work done at all.
