Low-Rise pop-up headlight conversion

I've seen these kits for MR2s where they fit 4 small HiD type lamps and then change the cams so that the lights only pop-up about a third of the height that they did with the original large lamps in. It actual looks pretty good even if it might sound a bit MaxPower. http://www.roguesystems.co.uk/forms/Product.aspx?ID=298 I think this would look great on the Esprit, updating the look of the headlights. Does anyone know of a kit for the Esprit? If there isn't someone should definitely make one.

I don't think there is a kit available for the esprit like this. I would, however, purchase one if one became available. Mainly want the projectors for HID use.

I've seen a number of tuned import cars, especially drift cars, with the halfway up headlights dubbed "sleepy eyes" so it's not too rare of a practice. There's gotta be a universal kit out there, but who knows if the Esprit qualifies as "universal".

I'd think it would be great to see an Esprit with headlights like that, even though I'm more of a stock guy myself.

And I've always wondered how flat non-flip up lights like on the 300ZX would look...

.... But not on an Esprit. Keep it original I say. They (Esprit) have the double beam set-up already.

Be aware that fitting HID to the headlights is illegal* in the UK, it's on the forum her to discuss it, somebody even posted the link to the VOSA site (might have been Troy).

*unless you have self levelling suspension or self leveling headlights and a headlight washing system.

Oh neat. Tracked down a small pic of it on his website. Not exactly what I imagined but it doesn't look bad at all. Can't wait to see the finished car with them.

no its a cool look i think, and the way i would like to go as to remove the pop ups completely and get what i need will be alot of money.

and btw are all 355 rari's broken LMAO, they have the same look as standard.
