Car Covers - Outside!

Could anyone point me in the direction of any decent Car covers for outside? She's going to be sat outside for a while whilst the neighbours are doing some building work so i need to make sure shes well cared for.

I have seen those crazy carflow things which looklike they do a good job but i dont think the neighbours would enjoy the fact that i have a spaceship parked on the drive. anyone have any more subtle alternatives?

Don't get one with a fleece lining. No matter how well fitted it will still move in the wind. Minute bits of grit get into the fleece and then start to gradually scour your paint.

I've got one of the Specialised Car Covers outdoor covers and it is very well made and fits perfectly, they even asked for a pic of my car whilst making it to get the right shape to cover the rear wing. The cover is secured by four under-body straps which are adjustable and can be pulled tight to stop it moving. It's encountered some really bad wind over the past couple of years and has not moved or come off once. You MUST make sure the car is clean before covering it, I generaly wipe the whole car down with a wet leather before covering it if I haven't just finished cleaning it. It's worth putting a moisture absorber inside the car, I've got a Humydry Magnum moisture absorber inside mine which I bought at a local DIY place. Another precaution is to place the moisture absorber inside a seed tray so there's no chance of it leaking out over the carpet if you forget to empty it .

At the end of the day you will probably get some wear on the paint work eventualy what ever cover you use, but so far the Specialised Car Cover is the best one i've found so far.

have to disagree, the fleece in the Hamilton One is not like wooly or fluffy but a tight fabric finish which doesnt collect grit as you say. In my opinion I will do more damage by driving the car and getting road chips compared to cover rubbing damage. Its best to keep things in perspective.

I have the same as you i'm sure.

Snow, rain and shine all year round protection with no problems for at least 2 years...

Probably due for a new one to be fair...but no complaints and value for money.

I've got a Specialised car cover and think its brill. Perfect fit, nice and tight (not too tight), looks good and keeps the car dry.

Specialised Car Covers one for me. Worth every penny, and as was said in a previous reply they ask for a piccy to make sure it fits right at the back. They even make a little velcro slit for the aerial to go through.

I have a fantastic one that Ive used for a year and its not marked the paint one bit nor has it worn or let in any leaks!

I cant remember the name as yet but I shall have a look when I get home. Cant recommend it enough!
