Summary: Huge volcanic blasts under the ice in the Arctic Ocean, each big enough to bury Pompei and "reshape the ocean floor".

I'm no scientist, but that sounds pretty big to me.

So let me ask a "stupid" question: We've been hearing about polar ice melting for quite a while now, and "they" keep insisting it has nothing to do with massive solar flares or other large scale geologic or planetary activity, and everything to do with man-made pollution. WELLLLL . . . . , could multiple recent violent eruptions spewing lots and lots of hot magma right under the ice have anything to do with increasing the temperature of the water up there?!?!?! I mean, heat rises, doesn't it?

I'm not trying to be presumptuous here. Whether the volcanic activity is significant or not, it is is just too ironic to read this after hearing all the Chicken Little polar ice stories.

Don't be ridiculous. The only way, the ONLY way of stopping the ice from melting is to pay more tax.

I doubt it. Just like Al Gore, I am not a scientist either, but I do not think that the volcanic activity under the polar ice could possibly be the real danger, as people driving cars and creating textiles are the true cause of everything in nature. The automobile, since the first one was created, along with other fuel burning devices, is clearly the single cause of most things that are a drain on the Earth, and by extension, our global economy. This Golobal economy is clearly driven by the earth hating automotive tycoon companies, the automobile lover (not that guy that has sex with cars, but people that drive them), and the oil barrons. Everything they do is causing great devistationalistic synergies. These type of synergies swirl and twirl in the etherial until there is metaphyisicalist impropriety flowing into the Earth and then out from the Earth. In time, automotive negitive synergies will cause great devestationalism on a galactic scale. That is what the crop circles are really all about. The crop circles are codes, or signs, from the higher elevationalisms of the Earths galactic neighbors. They tell us that the volcanoc activity under the polar ice is a direct result of the automotive synergisms flowing allong the lines of the megnetic poles. In fact, these magnetic lines can sometimes be sceen in the northern most latitudinal longitudes. They are also visible at the south regions of the synergi recombinational points. They pull at the ocean floor and cause well ups of magma. Magma contains many of the same componants of the automobile waste by products. This is because the devestationalistic synergies created by the automobile carry them into the Earth core via the synergistic magnational lines. Volcanos are the only way it can escape...

Can I be in charge now? I want a nobel prize...

Apparantly with Global Warming the Ice is still melting at an "alarming rate". But if you look into it the Polar weather last year was colder than in the last 20 years and the ice pack actually expanded.........Did you read about it? Thought not.
