http://www.thelotuscentre.com/start.htm

http://www.elanfactory.com.au/product_catalogue.htm (best place to find remanufactured and performance engine parts)

I guess you need to decide which James Bond car you want it to look like.

The white S1 or the Metalic Turbo.

The clean lines of the S1 are great, butt he racier look of the TE is great as well, just different tastes.

If you can give an idea of the specifics you need there may be some members who can help.

There's a wanted section to help on that.

All the best.

Andy

Hi Brent,

I've used Dave Bean (www.davebean.com) in the past and found them very helpful and friendly.

Where are you located?

You'll find this site to be very, very helpful!

And be sure to share pics of your project.

Welcome and all the best,

I will post pics as I go one question I had was is there ant place I can find a turbo to go on my esprit since my engine is all apart. And what work will need to be done so it will work? Is there other cars that take the same parts as my 77 lotus esprit?

I have so many questions thanks for all the help

Thanks: Brent

Hi Brent

It would not be possible to economically bolt a turbo to a 77 model:

Compression would be unfeasibly high (due to, high compression, non-turbo pistons)

N/A Exhaust valves/guides not suitable for hard driven turbo

You would be very lucky to source a good turbo manifold, wastegate adaptor and wastegate at a reasonable cost

You would also need (expensive) turbo inlet manifold, carbs, plenum etc.

N/A Clutch not suitable

Standard S1 water/oil cooling systems could not cope.

probably lots of other minor details I have not thought of!

You will make your car more collectable/valuable if you can rebuild it to standard S1 spec.

good luck

Steve
