could a worn wastegate actuator spring cause a f*rting type noise instead of a woosh noise?

can you get relpacements or repaires - from were?

Hey you are not talking about the sucking farting sort of noise when you change gear are you?

it will make a noise from the intake plennum and this will always be there, ( some of us think its an awesome noise).

You will only get a whoosh sound if you put on a BOV (blow off valve).

In the even that it is a spring or a part needed you can get a part from your local turbo specialist or from Garrett direct.

To be fair, any helpful posts on this thread are going to be wild speculation until we have clarification of the noise and exactly when it happens.

Go buy/borrow a dictaphone or use a decent mobile phone to record the noise and let us listen, then we'll tell you the problem. 'Farting' really doesn't help I'm afraid.

Yeah you are rigt Bibs... does he mean a tight fart or a wet fart?

i know a guy who can fart like a round of applause, this would sound similar to a flat tyre i suppose...
