Ok. I found a design fault with the Exige!

One of the air intakes is just below the filler cap. Sadly I chose a petrol nozzle that didn't click off and Super Unleaded was everywhere including running into the scoop. Now despite me quickly wiping the car down Some of the fuel obviously dissipated into an air/fuel mix and when I pulled away the normal pop from the exhaust turned into a load bang! and I had blue flame out of my tail pipe (i know this because it was dark and I saw it light up the back of my car).

Very impressive........... unfortunately my MIL light had come on prior to this so it's back to Lotus tomorrow

Oh and going down to Bib's was great but not only did I scrape my newly painted front Spoiler on his driveway but I got stuck behind a Gritting lorry and have found loads of new stonechips!
