The mirrors have been unobtanium for a long time, just like the pod mirrors for the series 1. They're one of the parts that are specific to the Esprit, as in not used in other applications. I think the internals are off something else, but the base stalks are unique. I've heard that they are similiar to London cabs, but not seen that corroborated. I've also heard they are the same as a Ford Capri, but doubt that very much as Capri wing mirrors are manual.

They do come up very very occasionally on eBay, but can be expensive. I bought a pair for

Franky,

If Hilly cannot help i think i have both styles, the left picture is for S3 cars, S2 different, have those two, at least your drivers side as moved the door yesterday with mirror attached.

Ford Escort / Orion Ghia models have similar i am told, but never checked, also someone said London Black cabs are v.similar too, but may not be electric

Nick

The left handside one on your diagram are the same as the early Stevens, they are off a Ford Fiesta Mark1 (good luck to finding one of those in the scrap yard!) I had my passenger one off at the weekend and it had the Ford logo on it.

Wich ones you have? I need the ones on the right of the picture...

If they look good, I'm definitively interested on those...

Can you post pictures?

I'll try and get some pictures of them tonight when I get home.

I haven't looked at them for a while, but they are definitely not immaculate that is for sure.........
