Esprit day at Paul Matty Sportscars

Recommended Posts

Paul Matty, Well known independent lotus dealer and specialist, has offered to host a meet for Esprit owners and their cars, we can all park on his large field at the back of his showroom.

This will be on Saturday July 22nd 2006.

Whilst this event will suit owners from the Midlands, it is open to all.

Paul has offered to provide food and drinks and will also be showing some single seater lotus race cars. He will also try and get some other interesting cars he knows to come to the meet, including an Esprit with a rover V8.

An opportunity to browse his well stocked showroom and maybe visit the parts department.

Paul Matty Sportscars

More details to follow in the coming weeks.

A bit nearer the time I will be asking for names please, as we need to know approximate numbers for catering

The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself.

I am off on hols next week, so I wont be on the forum for a couple of weeks.

I just wanted to remind every one about our invite to Paul Mattys in July.

I did hope to have some more info for you as I was at PM's yesterday for an A service, but it was Pauls day off.

If you intend to come please start a numbers list..

Sorry, date conflicts with the National Rally Day at Castle Combe. Will be at CC supporting the Sunbeam Lotus boys celebrating their 1,3,4 in the RAC 25years ago. About 40 SLs are due to show up as a special tribute. Some rivalry with the Ford Escorts who won the overall championship.... And there's all of the rally cars from every other era too!

Shame - I like Paul Matty's place, but will be up there anyway in December for the next Elan service....

Have fun.

I like Paul Matty's and have all my work on my s4 done there - never had anything but excellent service. I'll try and get there but am supposed to be going on holiday with my wife and my four boys (and my mother-in-law) on that day - hopefully I'll at least call in.

In Howard's absence (mind you he is in the maldives!) bumping this thread up to make people aware of the next NMEG organised meet.

This is open to ANY Esprit owner, but as Howard has said previously can you please indicate whether you intend to come so that we have an idea of numbers for catering purposes.

Hi,

My name is Dave and just made the jump from an Elise to an Esprit S4. Only live down the road, so if its open to all would be good to meet some other Esprit owners. See you all there.

Only six going. Pauls probably got that many Esprits in his showroom.

It would be nice to meet as many as possible. I think we should try to support this. Paul is a really nice bloke and it will be good. I've never been to anything he's put on that hasn't been excellent.

It's only a Saturday afternoon, it's got to be better than shopping with the missus or cutting the lawn. It's right on the M42. Any more takers?

I *MAY* be interested but am keeping a bit schtumm as I don't want to say I AM going and then not be able to....

If I can come I'll tag along last minute I'm afraid... (catering is impossible for me anyway - so makes no difference! lol)

I'm going to say, "I may be there", it depends on the roadworthiness of an esprit.

The seemingly never ending wobble on front braking with the S3 or the Turbo with it's engine not back in yet ( was planning to finish it before attempting the S3, but wobble got too bad).

Andy C... Am I right in thinking you have an S3 and have managed to fit a Turbo duck tail spoiler on it?!

If so... there are a few dozen people in the Giugiaro technical room who would like a word with you!!!!
