Baby chair in two seat car

As the title suggests. Is it legal to put a baby seat in the passenger seat of a 2 seater car?

Yes. Airbags, seat securely fitted etc aside.

you will find 'fitting notes' with comment on type/make of seat within the owners manual -even within the Esprit V8 manual.

But I'mnot sure that those reccomendations still match actual *e-mark* reuirements and reflect on actual markets -or what's available now (even second hand, as those brands sound like unreflected copies out of the 70th/80th manuals !?)

If they are either less than 4yrs old, or less than 40lbs - then they cannot be in a booster seat, or any seat that uses only straight car seat belt. You cannot use the seats designed for less than 40lbs in a car without a latch teather - which has to be OEM and crash tested (not a DIYer) - so it's my understanding, no young kids in the front seats.

Are you talking about a group 0 rear facing seat?

If so then absolutely no reason why not. I had to use mine in an emergency and my elise had harnesses but I found them more secure than a 3 point belt.

I use one in my S4, and its fine to do so, the only thing the police ask is that you disable the airbag if you have one.

Thanks guys. Yes rear facing group 0 - no air bag. so baby can travel in my S3....,

I used one 4 years ago with my daughter and again with my Son. No problems IIRC, just have a bag ready incase they throw up.

to make it more easy, can not someone just copy the 'terms & conditions' for child transport -with the name/brand recomendations out of the owners-manual ?!
