Cooling water Hose dimension

Hello,

can somebody tell me the inner diameter of the cooling water hose which is mounted between the waterpump/thermostat elbow and the big aluminium pipe which runs around the alternator. Mine looks like it is tapered but i'm not sure. I would like to replace it by a silicone hose as mine is slightly leaking.

The hose i'm mentioning is in section 46.01A of the parts manual item no. 70.

The car is a 1990 Esprit Turbo SE.

The hose is a Gates #21638 (cut off the extra portion)

The Lotus part # is A082K4115F

Thanks Travis for your quick reply however i would like to change it for a silicone hose and i prefer to take the old one out not before i have a new one, so if anybody knows the inner diameter especially on the side of the coolingwaterpump elbow that would be very helpfull.
