Esprit rear Brembo calipers new or recon WANTED

Use Elise / VX220 rears, these are the same caliper but utilise a different thickness pad.

Yes, I did think of that already, the only problem is the caliper is quite a bit different in its width space where the disc and pad goes. I bough one from a chap in warwick and took mine along with me to compare. There was a significant difference. Enough to make me think the rear discs on the elise/vx are solid not vented? or if thats not the case then the pads must be waffer thin! I didnt fancy shaving down my pads to suit to be honest. Ive already bought all new discs and pads front and rear.

The calipers are the same, I have one off an Esprit and one off an Elise for my car. The pad thickness is what differs for the different disc thickness's.

Interesting, perhaps then different years used different ones as there was definately a difference when I compared them. Can you remember the year the elise one was from and model? Thanks

It's from a Series 2 Elise, part number A116J0079F.

Lotus no longer list the Esprit calipers and lists the Elise calipers (without brake pads) as the replacement calipers; part numbers A082J6151F (old) --> B116J0081S (new) and A082J6150F (old) --> B116J0082S (new).
