No mention of LEW on the picture, which is a shame! Not sure who sent it in, but it wasn't from LEW. Bit of a cheek using it without mentioning why we were gathered! Seems Club Lotus don't like mentioning LEW too much! Wonder why! Might need a banner next year!

I see from reading the Club Lotus mag that they are relaunching "TEAM ESPRIT", did they ever do anything is the first place?

I complained recently after donnington about Club Lotus and their attitude to Esprits and got this reply from Alan Morgan new head honcho

"Having been Chairman for six months now I believe that we've demonstrably

increased member benefits in that time. By general concensus the magazine

has vastly improved and we've also boosted the members' insurance scheme

benefits. Member offers have also been introduced into the magazine and

these will be increased over the coming months. Many people came up over the

weekend and commented that this was the best show for many years - I'd be

interested to know what you thought.

I'm not saying that the club is perfect; the day I think it is will be the

day to hand over to somebody else. However, I do think it's better than it

was a year ago and it's up to all of us to make sure it continues to serve

the needs of the members. To pick up on your point and for the record of

course it doesn't exist purely for profit - if it did we wouldn't be about

to celebrate our 50th anniversary.

Team Esprit may well have been allowed to lapse in the past but why not take

an active part in re-building it rather than complaining that somebody else

is not doing anything? You must have some stories to tell so why not write

something for the magazine or encourage your Esprit friends to do so? I will

also make an effort to compile more Esprit features in the future but I need

to have material from our owners.

If you disagree with any of the above or would like to make any other

observations please let me know. Call me in the office if you like, I'm not

i have just joined myself, erm VERY VERY cheap insurance he he he

mag is not my thing to be honest, not really a lotus bod as some of you may know, so not really your typical "i bought becuse of a film" type guy. but fair play to more esprit stuff it. i might ever read it then and not look at pictures,,,,as long as no one from south of watford gap is in it LMAO LMAO LMAO

So the basic message from Alan's letter is that it's YOUR fault that there aren't many Esprit features in the mag...? Hmmmmm.

The page layout looks much better than it used to be in the mag.
