Chrome Door Mirrors

Did the US or very early S1s have chrome door mirrors?

I haven't found a huge amount of evidence for these - they aren't in the sale brochure photos I've got.

I have the 30th UK S1 and it has the black pod type mirror, but only on the driver's side.

My Esprit is 108H and it came with the chrome Raydot mirrors on both sides. I hope this helps....

Late S1 and early S2's had wing mirrors with chrome stalks - is that what you were thinking of?

The body of the mirror is still black in this case.

Hi Chris,

My original Federal S1 #301H has the chrome mirrors on thin stalks. Been trying to attach a photo of them. The forum seems to be having some issues recently.

Those chrome Raydyot mirrors were fitted standard to both doors on Federal S1s. Lyn's car is a case study in Federal S1 originality (as is Lyn himself!) . . . .
