I may be abroad on this date, but if i'm in the country I will attend as a spectator. I know some cracking pubs on the north downs only a few miles from that gliding club........

I am 100 times more scared of flying than Steve though, so there is no chance i'd actually go up in the glider......

Got caught up in a tornado flying over the southern tip of Greenland in an Airbus back in 2007. Tempered my enthusiasm for flying somewhat.....

Its a lovely spot up at Challock where this Gliding Club is, though. Most pleasant vista for us to spectate from

OK the time is a bit earlier than expected with the first flight at 5pm and registration, briefing and a cup of tea from 4:30pm.

Obviously this could be a bit early for some, but they will fling us up in the air as people arrive, if later than 5pm.

We ideally need a few people who can arrive at 4:30 to kick things off, so if you could let me know what sort of time you can get to the airfield it would be a big help - thanks.

It's more expensive (I think about £60-70) but you'll start much higher and get a much longer flight?
