  1. Yep, the white one was mine. Trevor.
  2. Mike, Thank you, that’s what I seemed to remember. Belts were done 2021 so would need attending to next year. Trevor.
  3. Evening all. Can anyone confirm the V8 has a 24k miles/4 year service interval for the cam belt? If not, what should it be? Trevor.
  4. Agreed, always a great evening, thank you Bibs. Good company too. Trevor.

    Emira GT4

Judging by the string they were using to set the geo, I’d say defo a factory car 🙂 Trevor.
  7. Shame, was a good car when I had it. Was LHD and Ken Savage converted to RHD as was his preference, think that cost him a fair bit actually. Was never sure how much bodywork was carbon but do know the panels seemed very stiff compared to a regular Evora.

    Ace Cafe

Nice pic of my 928 though 🙂 Trevor.
  9. Nothing a few cable ties wouldn’t sort out, if there’s any left at local stockists. T.
  10. And the very reason they simply wouldn’t dare risk a strike. T.
  11. Thanks for the correction, that’s substantial. Trevor.
  12. Simon, all above I agree with, points well made. I know Emira was aimed at a wider market but they’ve missed their mark by some margin, sadly. They seem to have destroyed the goodwill they once had, soul destroying for those that care. Trevor.
  13. Lotus have shown the Tesla route for customer purchasing which works fine for daily cars but cars purchased with a passion, the buying experience is diluted and I don’t think works. This is part of the upset I would say. Then Lotus decide to appeal to a wider market but under deliver in terms of quality and customer service then increased the the cost of disappointment :-). It’s not like the story gets any better, just keeps giving customers more reasons to cancel. I do think Emira could be a great car, after all it’s built on a proven base, all they had to do was change the body style, make it a little more useable as a daily and instal some modern reliable infotainment. It’s fair to say they launched into a difficult period and £2k uplift if I understand correctly, isn’t a large amount in my view, but it does represent the last straw for many. I ask myself, would I order another and if they sort out the various minor issues experienced by some and start to deliver cars in a timely fashion at a known cost, then possibly. Odd, as when old Lotus had no money and were the butt of most car enthusiasts jibes, they were capable of delivering fabulous cars when they said they would and at a cost that was quoted. Expansion really hasn’t gone well has it. Trevor.
  14. It’s difficult to tell if there are a lot of issues, of course people do tend to report on anything negative naturally. It’s a real shame given the gestation period that there should be any issues at all, plenty of time to get it pretty much perfect with all the testing and the resources available through Geely. However, as I mentioned, I believe there were many cars built with parts missing which was the delay but most of all the disrespect afforded to previously supportive customers when Lotus were struggling, in my view is unforgivable. Trevor.
  15. This is just another reason I cancelled, apart from the appalling customer care. I didn’t want a part finished car that was then gone back to with parts that arrived late. A recipe for poor assembly and rattles. T.
  16. Yep pretty civilised and a car I was impressed with, glad it’s still being enjoyed. Coincidentally I was just looking through the classifieds at later Esprit’s, fancy another, V8. T.
  17. I think you may find logging in to TLF impossible soon if this attitude persists. Cease and desist use of the car before it melts! 🙂 T.
  18. Blast I must proof read more often, missed out the I and the A from the middle. T.
  19. Doubt he will be on the forum or would have already been infected by the “my car’s tucked up for winter” syndrome. T.
  20. I afraid you are contractually obliged to give a minimum 3 month notice. In the meantime, your exit interview is scheduled for the evening of 3rd December. T.
  21. Or, it could be that I have my PA do it for me. T.
