Sadly the Esprit didn't agree with me when I needed to leave for work but I'm hoping to go home at lunchtime and coax it into coming. A fight may ensue but I don't lose lightly...

AAAAAAARRRRGGGGHHH !!!!! I LOST :angry::censored:

Battery completely FUBAR'd - not holding any charge at all and don't have time to replace it. I'm still coming but will arrive with slightly less presence...

Currently clear skies out there but rain forecast for early evening and my Dad, who was booked for a hot air balloon flight this afternoon, has just had his flight cancelled because of this threat. I think thats completely daft but is it worth checking with the gliding club just in case ??

They did have beds, so maybe next time and start flying at dawn.

My video is fab and shall post it once I have edited the take off (to much noise) and just after we landed.

What a great feeling, flying it yourself.

Well done Andy for getting this sorted, it was amazing.

Thanks folks for a wonderful afternoon / evening.

Still buzzing from the flying experience and the beer, food and company at The Plough afterwards was fantastic. Great to see you all.

I'll post some of my pics shortly.

Fabulous evening, many thanks to Gary and Bibs for organising, and yes please lets do it again.

Appologies for leading some "astray" on the way to the pub, as you know I never did find it. Mental note, engage brain next time!

Ian.

Great evening out. Thanks to Gary and Bibs for organising  . Those who took the Aero tow definitely got the longest filghts, but the trip up to 1000ft on the winch launch was quite something I can tell you.

Martyn :welcome:

I'm not going to even try to state how envious I am.

:respect: Bibs

ps. Good to see Pilko.

All we know is that when they stop making this, we will be properly, properly sad.Jeremy Clarkson on the Esprit.

Opinions are like armpits. Everyone has them, some just stink more than others.
