A few Pounds Sterling on their way in support of the hard work.

If you have a cost base that you know in advance, why not have a barometer showing donations collected against target required. All donors' names could then be shown once the target is reached? This way everyone could see how much is required at any time and no ones donation could be worked out (which I think is fair). Just a suggestion...keep up the good work.

Just a thought - I'd seen the 'Forum support' thread but had ignored it until now as 'support' conjured up techie connotations related to the recent garage problems etc. - perhaps changing it to something like 'Forum donations' might draw in more folk to have a read and realise that you're paying all the bills yourself...?

I know I had a bit of a hissy fit when LEF started regarding forum fragmentation between the various UK Esprit forums (fora?!), but to my mind LEF has proven itself again and again to be the place for Esprit discussion, be that technical or social. I'm glad you ignored the heckling and persevered, and apologies for giving you a hard time at the outset.

I like Jay's idea of a funds barometer, or an occasional 'only

Also, thanks for your kind words. I too am really pleased with the way things have turned out and it was a bold move initially stepping on many toes but I thought that it was needed, and it's been shown that that was/is the case.

I will change the title to something more appropriate but a barometer is tricky as extra funds mean extra features. Any overage I receive will be spent on more enhancements to the forum and more premium services I can add. We've also recently set up a limited company and the forum is now a legal entity as advised by legal minds greater than mine :o

It's onwards and upwards from here. I'd like to see every Esprit owner or enthusiast with an internet connection to be one of our members and this site to be the place to talk Esprit :D

Bibs just a thought (i know i havent given anything yet so technically dont have a say pay day next week though so will sort something some big event this month sapped all my cash :D ) but if it was possible what about some form of printed shelter a bit like the rally guys have this would also double as giving a bit of cover at events like donington etc if it rained?
