Esprit at auction

Just setting up our stand at RM auctions at Battersea and spotted a nice white Esprit S1. It looked vaguely familiar, so I checked the reg and its Chris Evan’s old Esprit. Looks nice.

Shame Chris has decided to let it go after looking for a white S1 for so long, on sale with no reserve and an estimate of £25000 to £32000. Could not be a better time to sell though with all the recent Bond publicity!

Goes under the hammer tomorrow so if any one fancies it they need to act quick.....

Can you just turn up at the auction or is it a ticket only thing?

You need to buy a brochure, which costs 70 quid, rip-off if you ask me. Still some nice cars.

Some very nice cars! 70 squid is a lot to pay just to turn up and have a look so I'll give it a miss.

It went for 21K. It had a non-original interior and on close inspection was a bit tatty, wheels were corroding on the inside faces, as was the aluminium windscreen surround. Condition wise it wasn't in the same league as the other cars. Chris bought off Uksportscars, so it probably had a few gremlins too!
