Cosworth Factory Tour

Good afternoon.

 

I thought you may be interested to know that I've arranged a tour of the Cosworth facility in Northampton on Friday 26th April.

 

It's a really interesting day which encompasses a walk round their manufacturing processes including the F1 engine build shop, a good luck at their products and engines, hopefully get to see an F1 engine being run in the dyno test cell, and a talk about some of the impressive projects that they're involved with in the motor racing, military, aerospace and marine worlds.

 

There'll also be show casing their Toyota 2ZZ and V6 engine components, which will also be available on special offer on the day.

 

We can acommodate a maximum of 16 people. Please put your name down here if you'd like to attend.

The talk and tour will end at around 2pm.

 

Please understand that certain areas of the factory are commercially sensitive so no picures will be allowed in those areas. If in doubt, please ask for permission to take pictures. They're a good bunch of guys so will help as much as possible.

 

All being well you could get to see an F1 engine on the dyno!

 

Unfortunately I've been called away on a tour of duty overseas so can't attend, but Sam will be along to enjoy the day with you.

Thanks for organising it was an eye opener for everyone there. One of the highlights was seeing how forged pistons are made and it struck me that considering the process that is involved that they are as reasonably priced as they are. Also Cosworth's involvement in electronics I wasn't aware of. We were made welcome from the start and thank you to Cosworth for their hospitality.

Are these going to pass emission tests or is it race upgrades?

I have not found a write up of this event, is this because of my lack of search knowledge or has there not been one?
