Justin,

The No 48 S300 is here......... http://www.lotusespritworld.com/EOtherstuf...ed_Esprits.html

It s the purple one with the red leather/black alcantara interior.

I understand that it was special order and cost thosands more than the standard 300.

Forgot to ask the factory about it when I was last talking to that dept.

Would like to know how the car was written off.

It ended up at Douglas Valley breakers in Wigan about 4-5 years ago.

I have the number shield here as I bought the interior for the mule but kept it as it could be quite rare?? :P

From the pictures i have seen it was heavily damaged on the front. The engine was supposedly specially built to "works spec" - similar to the race cars and mapped accordingly. I know where the engine, gearbox, loom, ECU etc all ended up and you may be pleased to know that it's back in an S300 chassis! Not back on the road yet but it's in the pipeline....

There's a x180r i know of in the states, the guy also owns the "Zanardi Car". - Could try and find out the build no. if you want?

guess youve just seen the calendar on ebay....???

Got it myslef stored safe somewhere in its original card sleve....

Stunning calendar, never used it as I wanted to keep it mint.... they were selling them cheap at one of the motor shows when I was younger as they were out of date if I recall correctly.... then again I may have paid a fortune... memory never was that good...!!!!

Doubt the numbers are printed in the calendar though....

Sat in the Yellow Motor show one that year.... yum yum yum.... always promised myself that one day I would buy one!!!! Maybe one day hey!!!!

Any info would be much appreciated Jon, thanks.

I've offered to give Justin a hand collating any details and I'll try and get a small web presence up with our progress. I appreciate some owners may not be keen on giving too much away, so just the number, colour and country would be fantastic. Ideally I'd like to get the rough mileage and specification as well, plus maybe a pic or two for the site. If anyone wants to contact me, either send me an IM or my email's on my profile (I think...). Justin's email is in the first post.

Might as well make use of my double post, so here's a snippet of absent-minded oversteer. To be fair my left hand was (unsuccessfully) trying to hold up the camera - I was doing my first Freescan run and thought the camera might be useful when looking through the data...

Catching back up with this, we're back on the case and I'd like to complete the list as much as possible and have it in the Wiki.

Here are the chassis numbers, if you know of a car, please cross reference the chassis number and let me know the current location(ish - country is fine), owner and reg number if possible.

Thanks :animier:

Have you got a link please? Number 40 started it's ownership in Germany so that makes sense, it's a calypso red one

There is another one in Germany in Yellow with 15k kilometres that was for sale when I was looking .

Will have a look at the old emails but it was pictured outside the foyer of an office block (may have been posted here).

It was advertised for 45k euro.

I have to ask myself - 'do I feel lucky'?

I believe this car fell afoul of US import laws a few years back, and was ordered removed or destroyed from the USA.

There is a Porsche Green - Special order 300 that would originally ordered from the factory and delivered too Germany an American Michael Downey. Since then the U.S owner imported it back to the USA.

It now lives in California with I think the original owner Michael Downey.

This yellow S300, owned by the president of the German Lotus Club (pic taken @ Nurburgring). Don't know the #

He owns as well the S350 on the same photo, as well an Essex.

Hi bibs,

It does have a full roll cage, bucket seats and a 4 point harness. the car is known as the SENNA car. The roll cage in the engine bay is a nightmare to remove and refit. It took all day yesterday to refit.
