I have just added my name on the SE forum for the GTM, but we would like to stay in the Lodge on Saturday night if possible and make it an enjoyable weekend.

Where is the 'breakfast meet' being held at?

Would be good to see S_E joining in as it is a great deal from him, we can make it almost a mini TT weekend.

Sounds like a great idea.

I have that weekend free in the Lodge and the cottages, if I get enough people interested I could block out the Saturday and Sunday night and we could turn it into a Lotus Weekend? We could organise a BBQ for the Saturday night and I'll do breakfast rolls for the mornings. Just and idea.

I've got clearance from the boss but I'd need more takers for the room. The Lodge has 10 bedrooms and the two cottages have 2 bedrooms each. I can block this weekend out if i can get takers for most of the rooms. Can everyone pass the word around as I need tell the agency before someone else steps in and books it. All I need to do is cover laundry, cleaners, heat and light so it would be £10 per person per night. Tents free.

Spoke to GTM about this today and they are pretty buzzed about the event.

The guy I am dealing with will be back next week and we will start putting the arrangements for Sunday in place.

They have asked if we will be able to help out with some marshalling for the car ride queues.

Provisional plan is to have about 8 cars out on track at a time with the others parked up for people to have a closer look get photos taken with them and talk to the owners about their cars.

We will swap out the cars during the event to give everyone a run out on track.

I will be putting a list of cars and brief descriptions together that we can pass on to the museum.

Can you please provide a short paragraph about your car...... No ore than 4 or 5 lines and a couple of pictures and I will collate them chronologically and forward it to the museum.

Looks like we are going to have cars from about 1963 to 2013.......

Hi folks, we are making this request. For all attending Archies B&B with BBQ, since Archie and Justine have been kind enough to block book the Lodge and Cottages for us at what I would imagine is a cost to themselves we are kindly requesting that you all bring what you want to eat, Archie will still show of his culinary skills on the BBQ and give us a great nights entertainment. We think this is only fair as they are doing us a great favour with the accommodation. If you want to cook that's also OK but we have promised not to kill off any other guests.

I was planning to just drive up for this on the Sunday morning but it now turns out I'll be in Inverness on the Saturday morning so I'll just drive over from there and arrive on the Saturday afternoon.

Is there any room left at the lodge? Not a problem if there's not as I'll just bring my tent.

Hi Andy, I was going to put this on LEC but the rooms went so quick! I don't have any bedrooms left but you can bed down in the Livingroom if u want? Just bring your sleeping bag - it should be cosier than a tent

Also, Kenny (flyingscot68) you can have the games room if you want? The pool table isn't too comfy but at least it's a roof over your head.

Hi folks

Been talking to GTM about our event and things are progressing well.

It looks like we will have 22 cars spanning the last 50 years of Lotus production so it should be a great event.

The event is not planned as a public event but directed more at the GTM members who are obviously car enthusiasts.

It’s expected that there will be around 150 people attending.

If we have any additional people that want to attend from our side then I will organise that as well but I can do that separately, just let me know.

We will be taking people out for runs round the track… 3 or 4 laps is the norm depending on the number of people waiting.

GTM have asked if we can provide ~ 4 marshals to assist in getting the car queues organised…. Volunteers please.

The provisional plan is as follows:

12:30 The track area opens

12:30 – 12:45 Set up cars for meeting photos for LEGS forum / club magazine etc

12:45 – 13:15 Free access to Museum

13:15 > BBQ

13:30 – 14:30 First session of track runs ~ 8 cars taking people out for 3 or 4 laps of track

13:00 – 14:30 Remaining cars parked in paddock area for visitor to take photographs and owners to tell visitors about their cars.

14:30 – 15:30 Second session of track runs ~ 8 cars taking people out for 3 or 4 laps of track

14:30 – 15:30 Remaining cars parked in paddock area for visitor to take photographs and owners to tell visitors about their cars.

Option May split this up to 3 sessions depending on number of cars wishing to participate

Option May extend running time depending on number of people waiting for track runs

15:30 – 16:00 Participant “Auto-tests” – to be arranged.
