S4 but with Brembo front brakes - wheel bearings?

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

Hopefully someone can help!  I need a new set of front wheel bearings...

I've got a new pair of bearings allegedly for S4 but they are far too small.

Are the bearings different for Brembo/non-Brembo brakes?

Thanks

Rich

same for all ( I looked at 88-V8).

They are really small tapered roller bearings with separate races on the inboard and outboard sides of the hub.  There is a pressed in seal on the inboard side.

Nice one thanks!

It looks like I have S1 bearings I reckon.

Going to order some proper ones now!

Cheers for the help!

The old bearings should have an identification number etched into the races. Using that number, you should be able to find an equivalent with any reputable bearing supplier or outlet.

All we know is that when they stop making this, we will be properly, properly sad.Jeremy Clarkson on the Esprit.

Discovered that my discs are knackered now too (WTL) so need a pair of them too.  But while it's in bits I might change the ball joints, and TRE and ARB bushes and and and....
