Switching to Continental Sport Contact Tyres

Has anyone fitted Continental Sport Contact tyres on an Elise S? If so, how is the handeling and how is the ride?

I cannot find the Yokohamas where I live, and since the continentals are sublime on all other cars I have fitted them on, I was wondering how they would perform on the Elise S, as Lotus only recommend the Yokohamas for the Elise, i am hesitant...

Just noticed that Continental do not produce Sport contact in 175/55ZR16... so no luck!

 

Can anyone advise/recommend any tyres?

Try Avons just done a new tyre compound .

You can try to go up 10mm to 185mm and that may open up your options...

 

Other than that, buy some abroad (Yokohama don't sell to the middle east) and get them shipped in.

Nope, you'll barely notice the difference in reality. You could do down to 50 profile, but again it's barely noticeable in real terms.
