Rebuild Dry sump Silver Essex Esprit engine

Hi Guys,

 

I am the onwer of the first normal build Esprit turbo after the Essex cars,

(essex build untill #950 i have the #951 car)

 

okay, the thing is the car needs a rebuild engine, so i have taken it apart,

and i just want to share that with you,

 

here some pics from tonight,

 

 

engine and cilinderhead inside a cleaning hot tube,

 

 

Cilinderhead still with the valve's

 

 

valve's out of the cilinderhead,

 

 

 

and this is the reason why it needs a rebuild,

 

next week i will work again on this engine,

it needs also new valve guids, and many more thing get new inside the engine!

Thanks for posting. It will be great to see the engine come back together. The car deserves it and will be amazing when you've finished. The dry sump cars are an endangered species - we need to look after the few that are left.

Thanks Jonny, this car comes back in very good shape,

 

and Giorgio, I know, i have done this job almost 10 times, so i know what i am doing,

this is just a head that i have done before (907 engine)

 

 

 

so will become my essex cilinderhead also, just as new!

today i have done, also again enough work but my phone is broken down so i dont could make some pictures today,

when i have my phone back i will make some pictures again, the cilinderhead is allready complete cleaned,

and i did some work on the engine itselfs,
