hi

a friend of mine try to have french papers for his esprit S4.

he asked lotus for have the good registration papers.

but whith the originals , the answers was negativ.

 

the french registraion wants:

coc ( impossible the car is to old)

RTI ( do it yoourself registraion)

french dealer's paper ( for these period it will be difficult)

 

someone have an idea for helping him?

I think if you want the UK registration papers then you will need to speak to the DVLA

where has it come from and what registration is on it at the moment.....

its not a new car so it will already have title papers......

Lotus will not have these.......

So Lux it is then.......you need to ask the vehicle registrar for a second document......not a copy an original.....

I would not bid money on it but if the car was first registered in Luxembourg you can try contacting the "Société Nationale de Circulation Automobile"

They are not reknown for their politness and willingness to help but you might be surprised:

As you wish. I was just following up on Gareth's post. If you are trying to get hold of the car's first registration in Luxembourg it may be useful to get in contact with the relevant entity in Luxembourg. And you could even speak French. Or not.

If the car was last registered in Belgium, you should be able to get a duplicate of the registration papers. Ideally, the last Belgian owner has to apply for this. But it might work with a contract for sale signed by the last owner. Feel free to send me a PM or email, I might be able to help.
