Allon White Sports Cars; (Lotus service centre) are having a special Breakfast Club meeting which might be of interest to Lotus owners (or car enthusiasts generally).  Allan Reid from the Bloodhound Project is coming in to talk about Bloodhound SSC – Richard Noble’s next crack at the landspeed record with this car which is designed to hit 1,000 mph.  Allan will update on the project Bloodhound due to run next year. It’s AWSC normal running order for breakfast clubs – bacon rolls from 9:30 and talk at 10am, details also on their website,  https://allonwhite.co.uk/saturday-breakfast-club-events

Excellent talk from Allan Reid on the story so far on the world land speed record dating back over 120 years to the latest race for the title, the U.K. bid should be next year in South Africa. Both the USA & Austrilia are having a crack at the world record.

The British (Bloodhound Project) team although going for 1000mph over the two runs in the hour have also been tasked with raising the profile of engineers, scientists, technology and mathematics. The team are touring schools, colleges and universities with the interactive show and talk.

a big thank you to John, Phil and the team at AWSC for hosting a memorable morning.

it was also a good chance to have good look around a large number of Morgan cars.

anyone interested in sponsoring the Bloodhound project or just having your name on the tail fin (cost £15.00) for which you also receive a certificate of proof please visit: www.bloodhoundssc.com
