tyres..again. Routeway RY26+ V rated anyone tried them?

Recommended Posts

So, looking at 205/60R14 tyres, and all are 'budget' type. Found this one, which doesn't seem to appear in most searches/reviews. They are Chinese of course, and seem to better EU specs than the rest in terms of wet weather.

Has anybody tried them? They are Routeway EcoBlue RY26+ 88V available from EQ Automotive or Blackcircles(after some digging).

Thoughts?

thanks, Clive

Hurray! TLF have a volunteer Guinea Pig/ Tyre tester! :P

Not hear do these ones, but would be very interested if you decide to proceed.

just checked reifendirekt.ch for Switzerland, they also have only 'budget' brands, will check  and let you know what I can find out (there is another Elite owner in Switzerland, will also ask him about the tyres)

So just put these tyre on my car today. Mine are 195/65R15. So far there is a great difference from my previous one which were michelin ones in terms on smooth steering. Also i felt that the car is a bit more agile  on  the road. So great beginning I guess.

As per advice by my tyre specialist, I shall make the first wheel alignment, balancing etc... after 500km. Following  what at each car servicing  i shall make a rotation of all four tyre. By doing so he reckon that I should be able to reach 50,000km. Personally thats seems a lots for these cheap tyre BUT if it does then I will be one happy customer.

In terms of grips and how it feel on wet road I shall revert back soon.

I have tested Bridgestone Potenza RE-11: 205/45 R16 (Front) and 245/40 R17 (Rear). That's good. The car is a bit more agile on the road and that's good.

Guys, which pressure gauge do you use? My old one was broked by my son (it's a long story). I found these https://www.bestadvisers.co.uk/tire-pressure-gauge but i don't know is it important to get a expensive one

Picked up an Excel SE yesterday and the Avon ZV3 tyres fitted, whilst having plenty of tread and not showing any signs of perishing, are date stamped from the second quarter of 2007.

This could explain the occasional twitch from the car when pressing on from the occasional roundabout.

Any recommendations for current spec boots to run the 15" speedline alloys?
