  1. Motorway vignettes are now also available online (no more sticker on the windscreen) https://www.ch-vignette.com/en/ Neil
  2. How come all the different paints, and leather or alcantara now come with pricing that is different depending on the colour. Hidden price rise, i4 base models with sase cost options and an FE badge. N
  3. Correct, but comes up on Louts cars Belgium, Germany et cetera. As from April 1st N
  4. I have been waiting Emira i4 for quite some time ( like many here ) I notice that since April 1st, what we call an i4 first Edition should be refered to as i4 base model. Lotus has "hidden" a price increase in the various choices that previously were included in First Edition ordering /configuration Examples are: Paint, Interior, wheel colour, caliper colour to name a few. Very fustrating if you were thinking of including these in your original choices. Neil
  5. Any i4 / turbo owners know if adaptive control is on the car ? Thanks

    Lotus Emira I4

According to a french dealer, i4 will not be available in Europe before week 10 / 2024. Reason: homologation.... I find this rather difficult to understand, as Emira V6, and Mercedes engine are conform. Neil
  7. This time we cannot blame Lotus, but the french tax on emissions Today(2023) a V6 is taxed 50000€ and the I4 18188€ in 2024 the tax will be 60000€, irrespective of the engine chosen. Anything over 195 grams/km will be liable. Unless Lotus deliver I4 this year in France, most of us will have no choice but to cancel our orders. Voila, Neil
  8. Just saw this on the tube Neil
  9. Just need a heads up (LHD, ROW market) Placed a deposit for I4 last week (July 6th 23) Mailed to ask what the next steps would be Configuration Aug 2023 Delivery Autumn 2023 Is this possible ? Thanks for any opinions Neil

  11. try this http://www.rdent.com/manuals/elite_and_eclat/heater_and_ventilation/ hope it helps, Neil
  12. Thank you Mike for the picture !
  13. A few observatiosn we will all have made, 521, so basic, RHS head light mounted at an angle (easy fix). No airduct, or belt guard. Year of manufacture of the tyres has mysteriously disappeared on 3 of the 4 tyres. Wheels nuts are not original. Fuel line between carburettors looks suspect (read old). No rear seat belts. Aftermarket fog light switches fitted to centre console, but no fogs on car. Nose badge should be black. Missing world champion constructors badge on rear left and Eclat on rear right. Wheel centres should be grey and bumpers semi gloss black. Real expensive, would love to see the chassis 🙂 Neil
  14. My father owned a LHD 524 (one of 11 elite/eclats built LHD), followed by and LHD SA. the later car being a real improvement. extra fear, cruise and reliability Me, I am happy with my Gold 523 Neil
  15. Bottom of this page is worth a read https://www.simplysportscars.com/lotus-cars/lotus-emira-sports-car/#:~:text=What are the dimensions of,mm%3B and wheelbase 2%2C575mm. How accurate is the information, I have no idea ! Neil
  16. Make sure to check the oil pressure sender unit. The tube melts during a fire !!! Good luck with the clean up, does not look to bad Neil
  17. Thank you for your feedback, glad to hear that resl life road testing with the final car is in the pipework. Neil
  18. While we are all (almost all) looking positively at the Lotus Emira, and marvel at the package and included gadgets, I ask myself when was the car properly road tested. Not a modified Evora chassis on the new platform, but proper debugging of the car and it ergonomics. Pre-Production models were used for long distance travel, cold and warm weather running, cooling, wind noise with window up and down, and many more. I am not talking of Nurburg fast laps, just miles of testing. With the performance of CAD systems, and simulations in CFD and FEA, this may be a thing of the past. If anybody in the automotive businees can shed some info, it would be appreciated. Thanks Neil
