  1. It worked perfectly for me in my Elite S2. I didn't think it would cause any issues. I did check and recheck float levels, and engine ran beautifully. Can't really say more than that.
  2. Another drop in replacement of modern design: https://simonbbc.com/fuel-flow-su-replacement-fuel-part-for-rear-installation/
  3. Manual says same oil as engine, 20W50 My gearbox is out at the moment, I can take pics for you.
  4. When I get my car running definitely up for some meets. Will have to be in new year now however for me. Thanks for effort to revive the group Al. Clive
  5. I just had a look at circuit diagram, and both coil and electronic ignition module powered from same voltage source, so should be a normal 12v coil, unballasted.
  6. Braking was brilliant. Very effective. And yes, just used same master cylinder. Hope it goes well. Under dash in pedal box can be fiddly, some good 1/4" extensions and sockets worked well.
  7. the voltage regulator could also affect gauge. Does fuel gauge change too? Both gauges rely on a 10V regulator feed. I am assuming esprit is same as elite of course.
  8. This is of interest to me too. Old gaskets had asbestos in them I believe. Do the new ones? I am pretty sure the Goetze ones don't.
  9. The actual reverse switch could be the culprit, just gone high resistance, by a few ohms. The fact you have a solid 12V at the switch and doesn't fail when fuel lock is on suggests this.
  10. you have a high resistance point somewhere. for a 21W bulb, that means I = 21W / 12 = 1.75A That is an equivalent bulb resistance of R = 12/1.75 = 6.8R so if you have only a few ohms resistance somewhere, it will seriously drop voltage across the bulb. Could be a crimp connector, oxide layer on a connector, etc... A multimeter has an input resistance of a Megohm or more, so the current it draws is insignificant if you measure the volts at the bulb end, so no IR drop.
  11. Maybe the difference is 'with' and 'from' Covid?
  12. Hi Dan, Yeah, one of those things you may or not use. Happy to relieve you of it, as a reference, SJ has them for £20, but let me know what you think is fair, and some postage of course. I tried to send you a PM, but apparently you can't receive messages? cheers, Clive My 502 has foam just on top surface between chassis and shell.
  13. Nup, quite the opposite, very conservative, right leaning, with a Pentacostal PM. The States are a variety of Labor and Liberal(read Tory), Victoria being Labor and the major lockdown state.
  14. Do you need it Dan?, mine is badly bent and is on the list of things to fix, if it's just doing nothing!
