donny lift needed

hi guys.

is there anyone here whos going to donny this friday until sunday that could give me a lift there and back?

bibs is sorting a room out for me, i havent been able to arrange a lift yet.

i can contribute to petrol costs, im asking as im not allowed to drive that distance and back on my own, also im not confident enough to do this yet anyway.

i need to know as soon as possible thanks.

Si, for the first event on the calendar, i would just be happy with the Sunday, it would be OK for the weekend if you were on a stand, but TBO, you can look around inside in an hour or two, the rest of the time is spent looking at cars and chatting to new found mates outside on the car-park.

Its no good missing an entire event due to transport, after-all, its not really a hooning event, just there and back, its not like the giant oxford meet where we hoon there, chat , big hoon, chat, hoon home.

Take Simon up on his offer for Sunday pickup and just do the one day, you will have more cash then to buy parts for the car

most of us are only going on the Sunday so it is still a chance to meet and put faces to names.

thing is i spend every day in the house, every minute, of every hour every day is in these four walls, i dont drink or goto pubs, have no mates around here to hang round with or gout out with, and theres not much i can do, so the whole weekend is what i was looking forward to, as to getting out of the house and away from here for a bit and more importantly giving kelly a day opr two to do things on her own, a bit of a break from helping me.

i was going to do some stand duty also just my little bit and see eveerything over the weekend, and just to socialise with everyione oh and see the little guy again..

If you want a weekend away you can always come stay at mine and clean my car up a bit!!!!

2 days and I think you'll get bored.... I think I managed 3 hours last year....

Its not as big as you think its gonna be....

Just come along and have some fun.... little man will be there for you to beat up on the Sunday, Fishy still wont have cut his hair, even if you go both days.... and Bibs will still be wearing ladies underwear.... And if we go up Sat afternoon/evening you can watch us all get ratted and being the only sober person... take loads of snaps and take the piss out of everyone else......

Went to two last year (once with my ex.. BITCH and once with my dad) and didnt talk to anyone..... Far to shy to just walk up to someone and say who the f*ck are you??? :crybaby: Best you come and keep me company.....!!!!

Dont be so grumpy, I'm sure your little lady will be please to get rid of you for a bit even if it is only for one night... go on have some fun with the boys!!!!

There's a Track Day on the Saturday organised by Lotus On Track. Meaning that theres a bit more to look at than usual!

Seem to remember reading somewhere that there's a chance that Classic Team Lotus will be sending a car or two around in the lunch break.

C'mon Si... seems like the majority of the LEF crowd'll be up there for the Sunday only. I'd love to do the whole weekend but getting a pass for that AND Brands Hatch the following Saturday from 'mission control' would just be a bridge too far! I'm brave but not that brave

as most ppl have said, sunday is the day to go, i cant decide if to nip up or not yet, wont go in

as its pointless for me really. remember to go and look round the normal car park aswell. no

one thinks about this at all, the best car of the day was in there last year (apart from our old range on 22"s

bahahaha), a gtr34 skyline touching 800bhp, that was going to be airlifted to dubai to race one

of the royals out there. engine was stunning.

Usually I would agree that the sunday is the day to go, especially for esprits.

However this year with the track day on the saterday I feel there will be much more to look at than usual on the sat hence why I plan to go the sat, I can easily spend 2-3hrs watching the track days at goodwood if I happen to be passing. You can also have passenger laps for a fiver I think for charity, and as rumored classic team lotus may send a car out at some point. I will stay overnight and then pop back on the sun to see all the esprit clan say hi to a few and then probably slip off earlier than usual on the sunday.

There is other stuff to do I think like the museum but I have never done it so may go for that too this year.

It is actually usually just a bunch of mates in a car park nattering surrounded bu loti.

the actual hall isn't really that much usually one or two interesting things thats about it.

like i said guys i really want to take in as much as i can , photo and film as much as i can etc, first thing i have been to this year and im looking forard to it.

you gotta understand, anything is good for me at the moment, i need to get out and about instead of staying in this house all the time.

so 3 or two days is good for me.
