My Wee Project

It has been a few years since I was on the forum, got side-tracked when "the powers that be" in my life suggested her little Elan should come before the Elite.    Now done we are back at the rebuild.  Painting is done, the engine is almost ready for the test stand, presently rebuilding the Weber DCOE45,s that came in the box with the rest of the parts.  The inside of the car needs a complete go-over so lots of work left.  I am encouraged by many of the write-ups on the forum so will keep at it.

The original colour was a dark maroon,  a real period colour but I couldn't get excited about it.  then I saw Altair green on an Elite on the forum and loved it.  so here we are.  The car in the background is a Triumph TR2, a friends car undergoing a major rust repair restoration.  My shop has about 15 lbc's. Mine and friends.
