cheers guys. wish the weather would brighten up, i could get it back out of the garage and try my new pedal rubbers for size! B)

Well gloomy here too. But gonna have to take my washed and clean White SE out for a bit . Been two weeks and i feel the need to run it a bit, keep everything oily and together.

They like being run a bit :)

Well, I was lucky enough to find the dual carrigeway dry enough to wake up the boosty needle and make three figures, which was a bonus on a dark damp day such as this. Slip roads were of course extremely damp though, but i knew they would be :)

Anyhow, got some good running and am 'off white' again :P

How did you get on pete?

Nice SE.  Very "Pretty Woman" IMO.

Haven't been in my car since last Sunday!!  This bl00dy weather, been raining the whole weekend. :)

cheers Mark. also got an excel SE in silver, and I really wanted the esprit 7 years ago when i bought the excel, but couldnt run to it then. Pretty Woman is still one of my fave films. i know its a chick flick, but i seem to like them usually. when i watch the car bits in it, i still cant believe i have one at my beck and call whenever i like. its great! it does make me winch when Richard gere grinds the gears so often. i ve managed it in spectacular fashion just once unfortunately. the more i drive/fix/play/fettle/caress it, the better everything seems to get, thankfully.

as u say, we just need some tasty weather to entice the cars out of the garage. mines got nasty tyres still too, so when the excel goes, its a new set of Eagles for it i think.

cheers splashout. u have pm.

thanks for the kind words and encouragement. gremlins i am used to, had an excel for 7 years already! and built a Lotus 7 replica. there a bit of a speciality.

Esprit does need some bushes and a few little things doing soon, and as for the tyres, christ, there cack. but coz its had 10 owners, and only done 55000, its had its fare share of huge bills before me. this is just the same as when i bought the excel. humongous bills, then the owners sell it, plenty of con artists charging a fortune for crap maintenance, another new owner etc. certainly cant be affording the usual specialists rates, so i do all the work myself, as it really is my hobby/my life, my whole background is engineering/race mechanics/car building/general make anything fit kinda guy. its all i know. if it dont work, it gets repaired or reengineered in the workshop/lathe. you should see my daily road car. a boring looking 2.0 cavalier. there aint anything that isint modified for long life or handling/brakes etc. the mot man couldnt believe it on friday. it nearly got to the end of the brake testing meter, coz its got the biggest brakes u can fit under 16" wheels, both front and back, all engineered from available vauxhall bits. i just love doin it. just gotta make the Esprit stop properly now!
