A big thanks to all those who have helped me build up the history of my Esprit so far and for welcoming me to the Forum.

..and thanks for all the advice about refurbing those Magnesio wheels. They are with a reputable company right now having the work done - I will post some pic's to show how they've turned out. In the meantime I've got my fingers crossed!

Sonny

Whilst searching for something else I came across another copy of the Top Gear feature on your Esprit. Much better quality this time, and no lip synch problems.

Car2max.com - your car is approx. 1/3 down on right hand side (below X5)

Loads of other good Top Gear and Fifth Gear clips on there too

Welcome to the forum, Sonny. Looks like that's a special car you have there. Having been on Top Gear and Men & Motors must have increased its value!

Good luck with the wheels.

Hello to all,

I just thought I'd introduce myself. I've just entered the world of Esprit ownership with a v8 (2002 model) which I am seriously enjoying. (SOOOOOOO glad I didnt go for that Porsche now!)

I'm also slowly discovering that my Esprit has a bit of a past. Aparently it was owned by a John Roberts and appeared on Top Gear (reg YC51 OTU). It was driven by Clarkson and the Stig.

I'd love to know a bit more about this cars history, so if anyone can fill me please let me know.

Cheers!

Is it the one JK (Jamiroquai) drove as well ? Or am I mistaking something ?

Still remember Clarkson saying, when the Stig drove it, about the brakes : ' ... not that he's using them ' :P

Nice car ! Great purchase !

Adrian had trouble matching the colour IIR, also had to have them done multiple times due to oxidisation (and they were "away" again when he sold it)

If the wheels are not badly kerbed and the main issue a colour change could they not just be painted over without blasting and re-exposing the magnesium???

Came across this whilst looking for something else in an old archive folder..:

The Sport 350 O.Z. wheels were painted in Silver Stosek 7E80868 with
