  1. Alex, forget colour lasers for photo use. The output quality is nowhere near as good as a decent inkjet, and they're generally more costly to buy/run.
  2. That's absolutely superb Laura A wonderful memento of a truly inspirational project.
  3. Tom Tom One comes with cable, cradle, and windscreen mount, Alex. When I bought one for Penny late last year it didn't include a carry case though. Suggest you consider one to protect the unit/screen when it's not in use. Plenty of cheap aftermarket versions on Ebay that'll do the job just fine.
  4. Dave, are you aware that you can install the pocketgps camera database on Tom Tom (whether standalone or PDA)? As you say, it is significantly more accurate/up to date, as well as being much cheaper
  5. Yep, Tom Tom is definitely the way forward. I've tried most of the PDA based GPS software and Tom Tom is far and away the best. Not perfect, but as an overall package it knocks spots off everything else. But, unless you particularly want/need the additional functionality a PDA offers, a standalone Tom Tom unit is probably the best proposition. James
  6. Thanks Paul - I've forwarded the info on to Bibs
  7. A507 is in Hertfordshire. Links Milton Keynes with Buntingford via Ampthill, Woburn, and Baldock. Quite a pleasant drive when it's quiet.
  8. Three fingers of a good malt usually works for me

Reckon Simon350S or Punky are probably your best bets on this one Bo
  10. Give Geoff at Esprit Engineering a ring. He's not a million miles from you and is both very competitive and very well regarded. Clicky
  11. Here's the dear boy in all his glory - clicky Good on yer chap
  12. John, was it your intention to add your name?
  13. You'd be amazed at the number of people who don't 'see' the Lotus badge, especially on red Esprits Apparently they're Ferraris
  14. Can't be that many young Mums who could ID an Esprit as a Lotus - most impressive
  15. TK, how about Stansted Airport Services (just off M11) at 14:30 then? Even allowing for fairly busy roads - but assuming no major problems - that should put us on the M4 by 15:45, with a Travelodge ETA of 16:45 - 17:00. Or maybe 14:00 to allow time for a coffee and bite to eat? James
  16. Happy Birthday matey Dare say we'll have to help you celebrate tomorrow evening . Meantime have a great day today
  17. Have just emailed details over to you Dermot.

  21. Being a greedy bast*rd I've actually got a room booked each side at the mo Wasn't sure which was the best option so booked both on basis that one can then be cancelled. Having looked at a detailed map, and spoken to a very helpful lady at the Travelodge, really don't think it makes a huge amount of difference which side we're on. But in terms of accessibility to/from Castle Combe and Chippenham (? by taxi) the Eastbound side seems to have a slight edge. So I'll probably cancel the Westbound reservation. But, for anyone who has booked the Westbound side and can't be arsed to change their booking there is a footbridge connecting the two. As to ETD haven't made a final decision yet. But want to reasonably certain of clearing the M25/M4 junction by no later than 4 o'c in the hope of avoiding the worst of usual Bank Holiday exodus out of London/the SE. To achieve that would need to be at Stansted/M11 by no later than 2:30 - 3 o'c. Any good for you Mr K? James
  22. Change of plan for me. Had intended driving down early doors on Saturday, then staying overnight. Now driving down Friday afternoon, staying overnight at Travelodge and returning home Saturday evening. Lure of an LEF curry night just proved too much (lack of accommodation availability on Saturday and other BH weekend plans also had a small part to play).
  23. Westbound approx. 16:00 on Sat. 19th May Anyone?
