  1. Please tell me it's not a big red rock eater
  2. Received this earlier today... "A woman was out golfing one day when she hit her ball into the woods. She went into the woods to look for it and found a frog in a trap. The frog said to her, "If you release me from this trap, I will grant you three wishes." The woman freed the frog, and the frog said, "Thank you, but I failed to mention that there was a condition to your wishes. Whatever you wish for, your husband will get... times ten!" The woman said, "That's okay." For her first wish, she wanted to be the most beautiful woman in the world. The frog warned her, "You do realise that this wish will also make your husband the most handsome man that ever lived, an Adonis whom women will swoon over and flock to". The woman replied, "That's okay, because I will be the most beautiful woman and he will have eyes only for me." So, KAZAM!!! - She's the most beautiful woman in the world! For her second wish, she wanted to be the richest woman in the world. The frog said," That will make your husband the richest man in the world by far. And he will be ten times richer than you. The woman said, "That's okay, because what's mine is his and what's his is mine." So, KAZAM!!! - She's the richest woman in the world! The frog then inquired about her third wish, and after careful consideration she answered, "I'd like a mild heart attack." Moral of the story: Women are clever. Don't mess with them. ATTENTION female readers: This is the end of the joke for you. Stop here and continue feeling good. Male readers only: Please scroll down The man had a heart attack ten times milder than his wife. Moral of the story: Women are really dim but think they're really smart. Let them continue to think that way and just enjoy the show. PS: If you are a woman and are still reading this; it only goes to show that women are nosey cows and never listen."

    Stoneleigh

Are drinks and/or food usually available at Stoneleigh, or do we need to bring our own supplies?
  4. A couple of ideas for the melting pot. Both influenced by the prospect of reasonable July weather and longer evenings. Convoy - if we fancy a longer drive how about a loop round the North Norfolk coast e.g. up to Cromer, then west to Sheringham, Blakeney, Wells, the Burnhams and then back via Fakenham. Perhaps stopping off at one or two places along the way (?Holkham Hall for photos and/or picnic). BBQ - struck me that the courtyard behind the hotel - with it's views over the golf course/surrounding countryside - would be a perfect place to set fire to a bit of food. Always good fun and great focus for a spot of socialising.
  5. Synopsis of recent conversation with Mrs TT So, would you like to come to a rolling road/owners' meet next Saturday? What's one of those then? Well, there's fifteen of us going across to Silverstone in Northampton where we'll stand around admiring and chatting about each other's cars, whilst each car's power is measured on a rolling road. Hmm, that doesn't sound very interesting... are there any shops nearby? No Is anyone else's wife/girlfriend going? No Will there be any 'rally driving' (Mrs TT's term for any moderately fast driving) involved? Quite possibly. What time would we be leaving Manningtree? 6 o'clock <sounding incredulous> What, 6 o'c in the morning on a Saturday? Yep No, you go on your own and enjoy yourself. So I did
  6. Mark, think you'll find that the only other hotels in/around Norwich that are capable of accommodating that number of people are considerably more expensive. Whilst it certainly wasn't the best hotel I've ever stayed in I thought that value for money wise it was more than fit for purpose. I'd have no qualms at all about going back there again.
  7. As we more than filled the Wensum Valley in October, presumably we'd want to keep the hotel side of any 2007 trip as LEF/LEW only?
  8. Yes, yes and yes to everything Mr K... especially the hooning/convoying and staying up late in the Hotel drinking chatting bits You can put me down as a definite attendee now - did look for a list but it would seem you've forgotten to start one James
  9. Peter, have just PM'd you a possible lead... James
  10. Take it the DVD doesn't provide what you're looking for?
  11. Fair point Mr K... but thought you'd already got your own convoy? Talking of which, have you decided whether you're going on Saturday or Sunday yet? If Sunday we - and anyone else going from East Anglia - could link-up on A14 and then hoon over to Coventry. James
