  1. Sale list - all the relevant details can to be found in this thread. But if you're not already a Club Esprit Member you may well need to upgrade your membership first... well worth it as you'll then have access to loads of other discounts etc too
  2. I'm assuming we need allow no more than 10 - 15 mins for Breckland Lodge > Mike's Diner? In which case shall we aim for 19:45 at the Breckland?
  3. Fair point, though my expectations tend to be fairly exacting. Like Graham, I also 'tip' the dustmen as well as the postman and milkman at Christmas, the former with beer and the latter with a bottle of spirit... if you look after them, they'll look after you. I also tend to round-up tradesmen's bills if I feel they've done a particularly good job.
  4. I never tip in a takeaway but always do in a restaurant - generally 10% in cash - provided the food/service has met or exceeded my expectations. I do, however, take exception to restaurants that automatically add a 'service charge' to the bill... it tends to get deleted from mine.
  5. Bull + horns... just spoken to the circuit... definitely nothing new happening They are, however, aware that the petition has mysteriously sprung into life again though... mine wasn't the first call they'd had today!
  6. Guys, yes you can refer a complaint to The Financial Ombudsman Service for impartial adjudication BUT you MUST first pursue it via the the insurer's own formal complaints procedure. The FOS will only consider a case once the insurer has completed its own internal investigation and, crucially, rejected the complaint. But, as Simon said, the mere mention of the fact that you're prepared to consider using the Complaints Procedure and/or the FOS can sometimes be enough to persuade an insurer to re-think, regardless of the rights and wrongs of the case.
  7. There was a dedicated Please Support Us section on Combe's website last year (or the year before) but it appears to have been removed. Presumably means the antis' efforts didn't wash with the local council. Edit - yep, 'old' petition - clicky
  8. South West Lotus's 'improved' manifold is, apparently, the way forward. Scroll down to the foot of this page for more details.
  9. Personally, I wouldn't but I'm something of a purist when it comes to 'improving' classic designs. But then I'd much rather you do that than buy a period house and 'improve' it by ripping out all the original sash windows etc to replace them with completely out-of-keeping UVPC rubbish At the end of the day it's your car etc
  10. Mark, 1. Get back in touch with the insurers and tell them you're not all happy, and that you do not believe that their approach is consistent with the Financial Services Authority's (FSA) recently introduced 'Treating Customers Fairly' policy. 2. Insist that they now put in writing exactly what they've already told you verbally. 3. Also ask them to provide full details of their Complaints Procedure. I'm not promising that the above will work, but it will certainly concentrate their minds. But before you get too carried away I've assumed that you have informed them of the various other mods on your car, esp. those that are power related?? If not I'd be inclined to ignore everything I've already said In common with most non-specialist insurers - particularly the direct writers - Tescos are not usually at all 'mod friendly'.
  11. Coolant light - no idea 'Ice' warning light - IIRC the first light (green?) illuminates once the temp. drops to 5oC
  12. A link to this pump was included on the page Bibs directed you to
  13. Probably still worth adding to the V8 Wiki for ease of reference though...
  14. Also available from this Ebay seller - clicky I have it on good authority that one of our UK members ordered one earlier in the week. I'm sure he'll report back in due course
  15. You're not seeing something like this then?
  16. :yes The only time they're nice and steady is when you're stationary...
