  1. Righty dokey Need help with setting up?
  2. Bibs, any idea where we'll be parking?
  3. Was just over halfway through. Well worth watching (repeated on Saturday at 10 o'c). Mr Plato's opinion of the 2-Eleven... "They've got it right, it's brilliant"
  4. I was?? Really don't remember. Explains why I feel so this morning! [Don't suppose getting back from the pub until just before 1 o'c had anything to do it ] See you tomorrow.
  5. Seems like Colchester is suddenly the centre of the universe TK - admit it... you just can't keep up with the Esprit boys (except in M25 'car park' situations)
  6. Understand from Lipscombs that it starts at 5 o'c. So, I'm thinking in terms of getting there about then. Ashley, Chris, Martyn (and anyone else) - meet up at The Nags Head, Brentwood at 16:00 - 16:15 and leave for BH at 16:30? James
  7. Hi Paul. Welcome to LEF and Esprit ownership. Looks like you've got yourself a cracking car I'm just up the road from you in Manningtree. Seem to be a growing number of Esprits in our neck of the woods. In fact, one or two us have just floated the idea of getting together for an informal natter/beer - clicky. Goes without saying that you'd be more than welcome to join us As Kimbers has already said, the larger more organised meets are always good to attend too. Feel free to tag along with us on the next one. James
  8. on tonight's Fifth Gear (Channel 5 @ 20:00).
  9. A salutary lesson indeed, Paul. Also emphasises the importance of insuring our cars using a specialist 'agreed value' Classic/Collector's Car Policy rather than a standard car policy, which will only ever pay the 'market value' as it stands at the time of the claim.
  10. Wheel cleaners - echo what others have said about Wonder Wheels. It's one of the most aggressive cleaners on the market; its acidic nature can very quickly ruin alloy wheels. Initially, it appears to do an amazing job, but once it gets past the lacquer it'll start eating into the surface of the alloy itself causing very unsightly corrosion/pitting. Having ruined all four wheels on my daily drive I would never buy/use WW again. I've now switched to P21S gel wheel cleaner after reading glowing reports on the various detailing websites. A vastly superior product. If it's good enough for Paul Dalton - the UK's detailing god - it's good enough for me. Talking of Mr Dalton I'd thoroughly recommend a read of this thread - it's a very brave man that wet sands scratches out of a Veyron
  11. Phil, check the following - My Controls>Options>Board Settings>Personal Messenger Options>Do you wish to put all sent PMs in your Sent folder by default?>YES That help?

  14. Great idea Kato... I'm packing now
  15. (Mis)Read the first '4' as an 'A', then ignore the second one...
  16. Damn! Completely forgot about this... Penny now has us booked in for a family BBQ at her father's.
  17. 1. Take the car out for a longish/hardish drive so the engine/bay gets really hot. 2. Stop and leave the car parked for 10-15 mins. The chargecooler will then become quite warm through heatsoak. 3. Carefully touch chargecooler and gauge temperature. 4. Repeat step 1 5. Stop car. 6. Immediately repeat step 3. If the chargecooler pump has been functioning correctly the chargecooler should now be noticeably cooler (almost cold ) to the touch.
  18. Brendan, I've got a couple of ideas on this. Will have a bit of a play with Penny's TomTom One unit tonight/tomorrow to see what works/doesn't. Will endeavour to post up a solution a little later in week.
  19. For Sale area of LEW would be a good place to start. Should give you some idea as to value too. What's the mileage? Bit more info. on car's internal and external condition would be very helpful for price guidance. Condition of leather, paintwork etc etc
  20. Ah, the man with the Monaro eh? Looked very nice; didn't sound too bad either Welcome to LEF, Richard.
