  8. They used still the Salisbury 7HA Diff? Higher means 4.1:1? Is it possible to get just the gears! (Shipping reason)
  9. Take a good quality mineral oil (not synthetic) 20W50 (as castrol classic or so) If you change to sythetic oil, it will free all bound carbon particles in the engine - which is not good!

  11. I bought another Eclat in Britain. I got the export certificate from DVLA, which is good, but I tried than to get the information about the car history (previous owners) - answer from DVLA: No Information can be given outside UK...

  14. Hi, are here some sprint owners around? I would like to find a good picture of the original "sprint union jack" decal (or the sticker itself), which was usualy sticked on the rear LH side? Thank's for every helpful information! Peter
  15. As I know, it's just for legal and safety reasons. At least in Switzerland you will not pass vehicle inspection without a cam cover.
  16. The are ~3 mm thick new silcone/rubber caskets which should be fittes dry. No drips anymore... Paper gaskets will be much more difficult to fit and then you schould use RTV silicone - and probably it will still lose some oil. Cork sheet never tried, but could be a good idea too!

  19. Dunc, Many thanks for sharing your knowlege, that helped me a lot. Other sources have given me following datas: J6 agreed, but differently PCD 114,3 and R14... (Manufacturer was Ford UK, what seem plausible)
  20. As written in title, I found some of the most rare factory fitted Eclat wheels. The problem was, the seller knew that too!
