  2. Mine runs all the time and I am afraid its either burning out or, if it has or is inefficient maybe this would be the cause of my code26, relating maybe to the solenoid it powers not working properly? Now theres a thought.... Ill keep in kind Dave your offer, as even if you could check it out that would be grand. I wouldng mind a trip up that part if thd country actually...
  3. Rich, which pump do you have, the one thats boxed in on the rear wall as the revised harness. Ive got tye same, cant find any leaks yet its running all the time
  4. Ok cheers, so nothing to worry about there then!
  5. Was this the cause of your code 26,?
  6. Ok, in my quest to solve the code 26 ive used espritmon tonight fir the first time, I only ran it at idle though I didnt have the time fir a run out..thats at the weekend. Ive got a few things to look at, but can anyone tell me whether on the bottom right of the screen, out of the nine items..ie fan, ac, oil eyc...ive got the com flashing on and off red, and every now and thdn next to it the. Sum. Flashes from solid blue to red briefly then back. I do have code 26 table b showing up as my fault. Also every now and then the aircon turned itself off, resulting in the idle speed dropping but not recovering until the throttle is blipped. Cheers for any insight! Darren
  7. That is true, just thought metal would retain any heat longer thats all, I was thinking changing the before turbo side too. But then again im running better chargecooler cooling so it would probably be negated anyhow.
  8. Is your engine temp getting up to normal as it should?
  9. Ive thought about replacing with alloy or stainless and silicon hoses, theyve gotta give a better flow and look good! Only question is, with all the heat undet thete would a meyal induction hosing transfer heat to the incommng induction more so than the original or wouod it be negligible? Darren
  10. Must be the inertia switch season as mine went dicky on friday before going the lotus show after changing the fuel pump...so swapped it. Over for one off a rover 800..;job done
  11. Mine when it occurs is very noticable. Even the missus noticed it as a passenger! Its never occured at slow town driving speeds, just motorway or upon acceleration from town speeds.im begining to think boost leak...ie a weak actuator? Not able to keep the wastegate closed...but then surely this would then occur all tue time? My alternative thought, is the solenoid fir the boost...could this have gone faulty, vand in a double whamy give me the code26 engine warning light fault code...
  12. Travis, I have already tried that. It does hold steady.
  13. Sounds good. More the merrier! Will see you at tamworth then
  14. Well new pump fitted, minus the pulsator! My inertia switch decided to give up tge ghost at the same time so fitted another one off a spare I had...the surging effect was not present upon the first test run. However, it then decided to rear its head again on second run.on thd third run it was not present. So, I know ive not fitted the pressure reg yet but im now wondering whether it nay wrll be a wastegatevor actuator issue...its almost like its building up boost then leaking it then building up then leaking...even at a constant throttle and speed. Hmm.
  15. Ok update, got the freescanworkin...it just doesnt like vista! I fitted a higher flow fuel pump this week. The surging effect is stull happening occassionally so im thinking now, once ive fitted a oressure regulator and checked that, it may be down to a weak wastegate or actuator. Sometimes its fine sometimes itsnot!
  16. Nigel, im told 9.45 at tamworth niw tomorrow! So catch you in the morning
  17. Ah....well thats me confused....it doesnt take a lot really! Well ill be staying at my parents tonight so ill be meeting you at tamworth services then at 9! So thats that sorted!
  18. Hmm I believe revised. Its a December 94 build. Last time I looked at the wiring diagrams it looked that way
  19. Im definately going sunday not sat, just dependant on where I am sat night as to where I meet up sunday morning! Nige, ur near me in leamington arnt you?
  20. Just thought id mention that the inertia switch on my s4 is exactly the same as one on a rover 800....possibly there just a universal one but thought id mention it!
  21. Could be a plan there! It will depend if im in leamington or nuneaton on sat evening as to whether its solihull or tamworth. Ill definately let u know by tomorrow eve.
  22. Anyone going up to the show on sunday en-mass? A nice drive up in fellow company is always good! Always nicer to arrive with more than just myself! Im smack bang in between the M1 and M40 corridors...
  23. I need to look for a pair also as I noticed mine have corroded and fell out! Even though you cant see them hanging out and they work ill still change them.. If I have any luck ill post it
