  5. isn't the veyron a (proven) road car - (ugly IMO) Graham...i'm unexcited about the 'huge profit margin in this' it's business dynamic is not my concern ; i'm less excited about its potential ...it will never be somehting I drool over...wow so it sets the bbc top gear lap record (possibly) - but if iemember correctly wasn't a tax disc and lights part of the requirement for a top gear lap...otherwise it pales into the insignificance in which it seeks to be in the first place - so 25 irrelevant to me million/billionaires get to drive round in circles on a Sunday...(a bit like F1 ) i'm sure it will be as successful as some of the recent and not so recent lotus 'business'
  6. i think therein lies the achilles heel

A lifetime ago spent a few years in your neck of the woods at University of Durham...oh I loved it...especially the way the girls dressed for an evening out despite the NYork winter...have you ever had a 'parmo'...hot shots...omg they are the best!! Lived in Teeside for a bit i think that is the home of the hot shot parmo....

  18. Gents On a serious note: Obviously I have never asked any of you for help before, but I really need your advice now. I have suspected for some time that my wife has been cheating on me. The usual signs; phone rings but if I answer, the caller hangs up. My wife has been going out with 'the girls' a lot recently although when I ask their names she always says, just some friends from work, you don't know them.' Always looking glammed up and reaking of perfume... I try to stay awake and look out for her when she comes home, but I usually fall asleep. Anyway, I have never broached the subject with my wife. I think deep down I just did not want to know the truth, but last night she went out again and I decided to finally check on her. Around midnight, I hid in the garage behind my beloved Esprit so I could get a good view of the whole street in preparation for when she arrived home from a night out with 'the girls'. Eventually a car pulled-up and when she finally got out she was buttoning up her blouse, and she then took her panties out of her purse and slipped them on. It was at that moment, crouching behind my Esprit, that I noticed a hairline crack in the gel coat. Is this something I can fix myself or should I take it back to Sparky's? I THANK YOU! Rog
  19. bargain respray...who did your rims...and how much?
  20. take out the roots of them trees in the subsoil otherwise your new lawn will look shite within a growing season. coniferous trees are the fooking worst and regardless of my utter hatred for the twats next door their conifers need serious dealing with. i hear deisel does wonders for this.
  21. dude, don't know what's in your mixes...but for shady lawn it's red fescue all day long festuca rubra is the scientific name if i remember correctly any garden centre mix in this country will have a percentage of red fescue in it i am sure you want the one with more of that in it which i bet those mixes you post have...even if you went for the 'wildflower meadow' approach you still need to continually cut it. by thatch i meant the top layer of the grass/lawn your is full of moss and thereby restricting and suffocating any grass seedling development which coupled with your shade and use of the grass is compounding the weaker light green growth. rake it, rake it, rake it and then rake it again with a strong tinesd lawn rake put a mixture of multipurpose compost and sharp sand in with your seed mix, fork it and tread it in and seriously overseed the whole thing then water it in regular don't mow till maybe 2cm and continue like this till late september. you may get a nice thatch. i'm happy to offer my opinion i love a nice thatch but as said it's a ball ache to maintain.
  22. Gunther, Shady lawn = Red Fescue seed all day long; make sure you feed and weed regularly alternating between cuts. and ffs please rake your mums thatch it's full of chod in the top horizon of the soil...there is nothing worse in my mind than an unkempt thatch. Lawns are a bad 'garden feature' unless you are anal and blessed with nothing else shading or starving the surrounding soil of nutrient and water...have you ever seen a putting green, top football pitch or centre court at wimbledon...trust me to achieve the quintessential english lawn is fooking hard work and untold maintenance...i would get 10mm pea shingle over a thick weed surpressing membnrane and a 2 gallon tin of glyphosate...tried it at home but the wife and kids like grass!
