1. #10953 exact 1980 FYEO dry sump spec, work courtesy of SJ Sportscars. Factory white/brown dry sump w/ factory Compomotive wheels and roof stereo.
2. Roger's briefcase that he lays on the bed at the Miramonti is most likely a Swaine Adeney Brigg- just like the one in "From Russia with Love" and in the novels. I've had one on order for 3 months and it's ready next week. https://www.swaineadeneybrigg.com/products/bond-case
3. Fabian I thought this response was interesting in answer to the two pictures above I posted on Facebook earlier today.
4. I have been speaking to a Bond collector in Germany and have bought these images. I have never seen these and it's great more are coming to light.
5. Another for your viewing pleasure Fabian.
6. 10858 had Giugiaro badges on both sides of the car in Cortina, you can see the left side of that car in the recent photo posted where it looks like it on jacks in front of the ice rink. The car in Q-branch did not have them (10860).. but no ski racks on that car! Lex.
7. I think it's sitting on some snow - think how wobbly the car is as it turns into the ice rink with mounds of snow. Must have watched it 100 times
8. @Lotusfabyes from my instagram/facebook that pic. I just bought the original from ebay - I had never seen it before.
9. Agree, we haven't seen many fully sorted early dry sump cars come up for sale so it's hard to gauge values.
10. It must be the best dry sump currently out there.
11. There's one on ebay at the moment for anyone else looking. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/OVERHEAD-COCKPIT-RM610E-PANASONIC-CAR-STEREO-AUTORADIO-RM-T610-RM-610-VINTAGE/254674359305?hash=item3b4bc65409:g:w4UAAOSw3MNfMAIy&frcectupt=true
12. I just discovered this thread and some interesting reading. Some of my collection below.
13. Yes great to have you on here Dan. Did you see the period photos of your car on the previous page? Are you doing a black lower section on the car?
14. It has come a long way @Fridge the numbers exercise has pretty much finished now with a few turning up from time to time. What is really interesting is joining the dots between these early cars and you are right there is something intriguing about these development cars - I think the fact they were being developed by Colin Chapman and others alongside Championship winning F1 cars is part of the reason. On the PDF on the previous page there are some pretty in depth notes next to most of these very early cars and the next stage is getting deeper into these. Lex
15. Great info. When you say sister car you mean the one in the books 79A?
16. Thanks Dave, It would be a lovely thing if restored correctly and it should be quite valuable you would think. Hopefully it turns up again.
17. I guess this should really be on the register ? In front of 10790.
