  1. I've spend a lot of money with SJ and generally very happy with their service and response. Sometimes you get a submitted for quotation email but that is normally resolved very quickly. I have been less than impressed with the quality of some of the "plastic" parts - rear light surrounds and b post finishers, front bumper - which needed loads of fettling to fit properly . And don't mention the delaminating bonnet that is being repainted as we speak having been stuck back together , only God knows what that's costing . But getting something that is nearly right and can be made to fit is better than nothing ( anyone got an s2 windscreen wiper arm ( not the bladed rubber bit) Lotusbits may be a good source for the OP as they like Elite's
  2. Just beat me too it .... That's exactly the same as my s2
  3. David We are on holiday from the 14th so unfortunately not - but I am aiming to be at Shelsley Walsh Classic Nostalgia on the 20th July.
  4. Brief update - done about 100 miles and everything has been running as it should . Unfortunately I've had problems with the paint and the SJ bonnet - so it is in a body shop seeing what needs to be done . Then I have a few small jobs to finalise. I went to 2 different car meetings and the only thing people seemed interested in was why the body moulding rubber wasn't fitted yet - quite depressing really, after 4 years work . Ho Hum .
  5. I'm booked onto the 2026 one - not in a Lotus thou.
  6. I like the fly-off handbrake - the normal one really gets in the way when exiting for me .
  7. Allen I've been using a textured paint on some of my plastics - proXL - comes in a rattle can with 2 different sized nozzles . I've used it on the b post trim, side window trim and rear light surrounds and am very pleased with the results
  8. You appear to be a piece short - the bit that goes around the wheel arch - it has a rubber insert ( like the floor mat does ) on mine.( part 5 in the manual above ) The fully trimmed rectangular piece goes under the seat. The piece top left in your picture goes behind the pedals . I think the middle bottom piece , a bit of piping, 2 semi circles and 2 square cut outs is for the other side ( passenger side) behind the seat - part 14 in the manual above - but it does seem an odd shape compared to what i remember ....particularly the square cut-outs ... HTH - I found the carpeting quite satisfying once I'd figured out what goes where .... Actually , looking again , the piece you have with the rubber insert , place on the floor under the pedals in pic 2 , is the piece that goes round the wheel arch with the rubber element vertical and the circular cutout mating to the inside of the cill cover . You are missing piece 2 from the manual .
  9. Couldn't help take a pic whilst queuing to pay for fuel .
  10. I have the same ( PNM?) calipers but not run the car yet .... so can't help . The handbrake cables are miles too long on mine thou .
  11. In everyday cars I never switch the aircon off -why would you ?
  12. I went to the Ian Callum event at the Museum a few months ago . Its a great evening - walk round the museum, food and drink , then the main event.
  13. Doesn't seem anyone has a wiper arm for an s2 in stock - SJ remanufacture but no stock. Looking through the internet, the Triumph TR7 arm looks very very similar - anyone know if they are interchangeable.
