  1. As a Lotus enthusisat, I've replied to the Autocar article... "You'd of thought, in the current economic climate here in the UK, that Autocar would be a little more mindful about what it initially writes, and the far reaching consequences of sensational journalism. Also, is it too much to ask that a British automotive publication actually supports the worlds greatest handling, everyday, sports car manufacturer. One that just happens to be British. Instead of what appears to be constantly taking pot shots at it. Or do you not care about British jobs? I'm immensely proud that we're lucky enough to have a BRITISH car manufacturer, that can take on the corporate giants - with their stratospheric development budgets - and still give them a bloody nose in the handling and feedback department. Just look at the V6 Exige S. Long live Lotus, poor form Autocar. Poor form indeed. Proud to be British, because it's British jobs that are at stake. Now, let's get behind Kimi too, because it can only help UK jobs - jobs at both Hethel & Enstone." It wouldn't hurt to let them know what you think yourself. http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/industry/group-lotus-winding-order-dismissed-high-court
  2. The Special K. PFi Karting on Sunday 30th September. Starts from 4 pm. After the success of the last round and people asking if we can do it again. We've booked Sunday 30th September, 4 pm at PFi Karting. Myself and Paul (Moominter) on S.e.l.o.c. A big thank you to all 24 drivers that made it last time. http://www.jmkartsport.co.uk/ The Event will also be up on S.e.l.o.c, MLOC and Egies.com. Feel free to reply on whichever Forum you want. Same plan as last time. 60 laps or 60 minutes, whichever comes first of the Circuit. Plus 30 minutes of quail laps. In a team of 2 or 1. *** Team of 2 should get around 45 laps and 45 minutes on track, per driver. 30 race laps + 15 quail laps, per driver. All in price is £72 each. Drivers will alternate every 15 mins giving you two race stints and one quail stint each. The average novice lap is done in about 60 seconds. Hence around 15 laps ever 15 mins. Roughly. *** Team of 1 should get around 90 laps and 90 minutes on track. 60 race laps + 30 quail laps. All in price is £144. The driver will be called in every 15 mins, give us a twirl, and sent straight back out again. *** There's an initial deposit of £12.50 per driver. With the remainder of the balance payable to PFi on the day. I'll be taking the deposits and will u2u or PM payment details to all those signed up. There's a Cup for the top 3 Teams and a timesheet for all, proving you too are a driving god. You'll be there for a little over 2 hours. We might even throw in a pair of The Special K, T-Shirts for the winning team again. If there's anyone in particular you want to be teamed up with, friend, other half, etc, please let us know. If you don't have someone, let us know and we'll look to team you up later. If you're interested please reply as a post below. Plus if you have someone you want to team up with or not. The only change this time around is that it's only open to Lotus owners or members of a Lotus Forum + 1. That's a Friend, Son, Daughter, Other Half, you get the drift. See you there.
  3. MMC. Whoever edited the word 'the playground' out, replacing it with the word 'playground', could you edit it back please. As I don't appear to be able to edit my post. Would like to keep this thread just about the Karting please. Thanks. OK. Just seen what's going on. Can I say it like S.e.l.o.c? Hi Trevor. So far there's 13 coming from.... and MLOC.
  4. Starts from 6 pm. It's a great circuit near Grantham and probably the best in the UK right now http://www.jmkartspo...o.uk/index.html The Corporate fleet (the ones we'll be using) are well maintained, always look practically new and for hire karts they're genuinely rapid. You should see up to 50 mph on the speed gun through the start/finish straight. http://www.jmkartspo.../kart/kart.html Would you be interested? Some of the the playground Lincolnshire members and MLOC are attending. And if PFi is close to you, I thought I'd ask who else fancies a pedal. More the merrier. It would be great to get a full grid of 10 teams or more. There's a nice big car park to show off the cars and they even have their own bar for after the race. We've booked Saturday 11th August at PFi Karting and hope to make it a bit of a regular, hence… The Special K. 60 laps or 60 minutes, whichever comes first, of the Circuit. Then give you a load of excuses why he didn't. Or is that Button *** There's an award for the top 3 Teams and a time sheet for all, proving you too are a driving god You'll be there for a little over 2 hours. If there's anyone in particular you want to be teamed up with, friend, other half, etc. Please let me know. It would be a benefit if you already have this but it's not mandatory. If you don't have someone, let me know and we'll look to team you up later. Or put you in goal If you're interested please reply as a post below. Plus if you have someone you want to team up with or not. Hope to see you THe New Bridge EXtenson at PFi Tiff & Plato at PFi The Real Mr Hamilton at PFi
