I'd check the other rear wheel and tyre too Phil. Do you think it was anything to do with the winter tyre compound you are currently running on? What is the DOT date? From your photo it looks as if has been scrubbed on the inside edge?? I know its like teaching your granny to suck eggs , but get your wheel checked out thoroughly. I'd be amazed if there was no damage, particularly to the inside rim 😯 Edit: actually, when I look again, I think the scrubbing I thought I saw is just a trick of the light?

Back in April last year I picked up my copper fire Evora from Craig Moncrieff in Edinburgh. On the drive home I called to fill up with Shell's best bevvy in Jedburgh. A 30's something blonde babe (not many of them in Jed. 🤥) came rushing over and said "Oh wow, I love your car. The exhaust sounds great and I love that metallic colour and stripes. How long have you had it? I looked at my watch and said "about 65 minutes" I can only describe her next squeal of delight as positively orgasmic 😅

Imagine what would have happened if you had been in the 3rd lane at your normal driving speeds 😉 PS Incidentally, if you'd have asked about the towing hook I would have told you. It was even more complicated for me. When I went to look for the towing hook there wasn't one. And when I got one there wasn't an eye cut out in RHS corner of the grille. Another FFS moment for me 😖

I agree with you. For an extra wad of dosh you have a better car with lower mileage and, knowing WillB, a much better providence. It's the one I would have gone for had I been in a similar position At the end of the day it comes down to money and whether the smile on your face is bigger with an S than an N/A 😉 Sorry, I actally meant to type provenance !! @Cdm2018 I'm sure that S on Pissedonheads is Will Blackham's one and has now been sold. Might be worth the OP putting out feelers to WillB. No affiliation but I first met Will 17 years ago when he was heavily into Elan M100's and LEC. Nice bloke, trustworthy, only sells good stuff

The answer to that is yes. Looks like your drivers seat is a bit saggy? Could do with a bit of TLC before it gets too bad. I like the gearshift knob. Did the same with mine. So much more contemporary than that OEM lump of black plastic 🤔 And 2bular, yes, yes, yes 👍

And knowing Phil as well as I do I suspect there was more to interest him in photo 2 than the lovely Evora 😉

Hi Tom - I believe the ski racks were retained at Hethel when the car moved on and, yes, I would fit them again at the appropriate time of year if I could source them. However, my ski days are long over but I still have my 195's so it would only be for pose value. But it does look good in those snowy photo's. Actually it looks good in any weather but you Evora owners already know that 😉

And even the wheel barrow would probably be CAT S 😅

Hi Dave, My Evora is 4th on your list (AU09 EJZ) It's original colour off the production line was grey as stated in your list and it had a cameo appearance in a dodgy 2011 film called "Swinging with the Finkels" Hethel then used the car for promotional purposes and factory resprayed it A19 copper fire (or nearest match Honda Dakota Bronze) in order to mock it up as per the Lotus Esprit in For Your Eyes Only. It then went to Cortina in Italy and Chamonix in France for filming. I believe the intention was to try and get the Lotus brand back into James Bond movies (Skyfall 2012) but this never materialised and we saw the return of the lovely Aston Martin DB5 Incidentally, there are no LE plaques on the sills or dash. My thoughts are they were removed when they did the respray and never replaced

I don't recognise the shape of the tailpipes so I can't help you with what it is. But I can help you with what it's not It's definitely not 2bular and definitely not OEM

Thanks. When I purchased the car from Craig Moncrieff in Edinburgh last April I thought, nah, those boy racer stripes have to go. But then I did some research and found out Lotus had used this Evora to try and get into a James Bond movie (Skyfall) They resprayed it in an identical colour to the Esprit in For Your Eyes Only with Roger Moore. All I need now are some brown slacks and a beige windcheater 🤣 Wondering what an Emira would look like in that colour?

Windy - I'm only an ex scientist with an occupational medicine and pharma. background but I still take a keen interest in drugs. That Omeprazole you take will prevent stomach reflux and any other stomach lining problems I have a tip for you though. Ask the Thai girl to remove her high heels before your massage. Bare feet wont hurt your back as much 😝

Just to let you know that Omeprazole protects your stomach windy. It should be taken in conjunction with Naproxen which is an NSAID (non steroidal anti inflammatory) So, Naproxen taken regularly will affect your stomach lining so you need the Omeprazole to pritect your stomach Check with your Dr though as he/she will have prescribed

Hello all, This is my first post since joining TLF back in 2014 🤔 Some of you will already know me from Lotus Elan Central (LEC) ie the likes of Bibs, Dave Eds, Dave Pink, Geoff Smith, Phil Flash et al..... I have owned Lotus cars since 2003, mainly 3 M100's, 2 of which I still own. I also added a launch edition Evora last year during lockdown. It has an interesting history including starring in a film and also being used by Hethel to get further Lotus product placement in a James Bond movie. More will be revealed in time 😉 In the meantime, I hope you are enjoying your Lotus, whatever the model, now that the better weather is here
